CEO of Big Abortion Campaigns to Preserve Taxpayer Subsidy at Expense to Women’s Health

Statement by Live Action President Lila Rose:

In a new video the Obama campaign released today, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards says she is taking a break from her ‘day job’ to help re-elect the president because our “daughters and grand daughters’ future depends on it.” At a taxpayer-funded salary of almost $400,000 a year, Ms. Richards may be able to afford to take a few weeks off to help, but the president has embraced a partner whose radical abortion-first agenda repeatedly puts the health and well-being of women and young girls at risk.

Planned Parenthood is engaged in numerous illegal, unethical, and abusive activities that support the sexual trafficking of minors; sex- and race-based abortion; failing to report sexual abuse of underage girls; accounting fraud in California, Iowa, and Texas; and nine medical emergency 911 calls in the last year alone. Just this past July, 24-year-old Tonya Reaves bled to death after a botched abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Chicago.

Thanks to nearly $500-million-a-year in taxpayer subsidies, Planned Parenthood performs over 320,000 taxpayer-funded abortions a year, making the group the abortion industry’s top abortion provider nationwide. President Obama is the most pro-abortion president in history, and he is Planned Parenthood’s president, but one has to wonder why the president is turning a blind eye to the dangerous, illegal, unethical and fraudulent practices engaged by the organization and its threat to women and young girls.

If there is a war on women going on anywhere in America, it is going on daily inside the walls of the nation’s hundreds of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics.

    serious question: is this really the type of person an anti-choicer would vote for? because he clearly sides with you, but he is incredibly dumb (or maybe just way more misinformed than anyone running for office should be). the same goes for “Dr.” Todd Akin. if elected, they will try to further your agenda, but at what cost? can you really justify the end by the means? are they willfully trying to misinform the public or just grossly misinformed themselves? i can’t help but wonder if perhaps if they had their facts straight they wouldn’t be so adamantly anti-choice.

    nine 911 calls?? shut the whole program down!! (your “about” paragraph says you like sarcasm, Kate.) nine isn’t very high of a number nationwide. for reference: deer kill about 130 people per year, hotdogs kill about 80 per year, icicles about 100, and even vending machines kill about a dozen or so people every year. ectopic pregnancies alone cause about 50 deaths per year in the United States (whether “Dr.” Joe Walsh believes it or not.) and to be honest, i’ve never heard anyone on either side say that there is zero danger to having an abortion performed.

    Obama is planned parenthood’s president? did i miss something? i thought it was Cecile Richards (as mentioned in the first paragraph)…overlooked mistake? or purposeful tongue in cheek lie?

    last and very least, you should fix the quotes in this article. there aren’t any where there should be and there is one where it shouldn’t be. (not trying to be a grammar nazi, i make tons of mistakes myself [try to find a capitalized letter in my rant, i dare you], it just threw me off on first read. and i tend to hold journalists to a higher standard.)

      but really, was it simply a mistake in calling Obama the president of planned parenthood?? i have to know!
