Each year, Planned Parenthood releases an annual report, breaking down their services, funding, and profit. It typically paints a grim picture of an organization that rakes in massive profits from the slaughter of preborn children, while enjoying hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer funding. They present themselves as a provider of women’s health care, but their report usually shows that abortions increase while health care decreases.
But what would we see if we looked at more than just one year’s annual report? Americans United for Life looked at Planned Parenthood’s numbers over the last nine years in a report they call “Abortion, Inc”, since Cecile Richards took over as CEO, and what they found was deeply discouraging. In a video introducing the report, AUL president Charmaine Yoest explains the disturbing details they found about Planned Parenthood’s transformation into Big Abortion.
How has Planned Parenthood changed under Cecile Richards’ leadership? If anything, the abortion behemoth has become even more extreme. Breast exams, breast health care, and cancer screenings have seen cuts.

Prenatal services have been slashed. Adoption referrals continue to be far lower than the number of abortions Planned Parenthood performs.
But perhaps the most telling statistic is that while the number of clients at Planned Parenthood dropped from 3.1 million 2006 to 2.7 million in 2013, the number of abortions they perform has skyrocketed from 263,943 in 2005 to 333,964 in 2011. Over 98% of the pregnant women seen at Planned Parenthood end up getting an abortion.
Planned Parenthood under Cecile Richards has been able to transform themselves into the nation’s largest abortion provider, while also increasing the amount of taxpayer funding they receive. And while they tout themselves as an essential women’s health care provider, they have not only slashed their health care services, but mandated that Planned Parenthood affiliates provide abortions. Affiliates that didn’t provide abortions, but provided other health care services, were forced to either agree to the slaughter of preborn children or cut ties.
Don’t be fooled when Planned Parenthood tries to downplay their abortion involvement. They are the largest abortion network in America and have been very deliberate in making that their priority.
