Congressman “commends” President Obama for recognizing unborn children

It was reported this week that the Obama White House requires all unborn children visiting the White House to be registered as guests. In response to this information, a Pennsylvania congressman put out a humorous press release commending the president for his recognize of unborn human life. Obama has not indicated that he supports recognizing unborn children in any other context, or granting them the right to life at all. The press release from Congressman Barletta can be seen here and is also listed below:

U.S. Representative Lou Barletta, PA-11, congratulated the White House of President Obama – who supports partial-birth abortions and voted against born-alive failed abortion infant protection legislation on the grounds that a fetus is not a viable life – for finally recognizing that life begins at conception.

Tuesday, it was reported that the White House is now asking pregnant mothers to identify their unborn babies when requesting tours of the president’s house.

In an e-mail to offices, the White House stated, “Crazy as it may sound, you MUST include the baby in the overall count of guests in the tour.” [Emphasis original to e-mail.]

The e-mail gives details on how to include the unborn child’s first name (“Baby”), birthday (even though the baby has not yet been born), gender, and social security number.

“The White House of President Obama – who voted against bills protecting unborn children from the horror of abortion – enacted a policy identifying babies still in the womb when they come to visit the White House. If an unborn child is considered alive for the purposes of a White House tour, clearly an unborn child should be considered alive when pro-life legislation is considered,” Rep. Barletta said.

“I’d like to commend President Obama for finally acknowledging that life begins at conception.”

Come on guys, why are you posting this? You do realize this whole thing was blown way out of proportion, and that its actually beneficial for the mother that the white house does this.

  • Soniacara

He’s probably lining up names for false voters and how on earth would they have soc security numbers? Or trying to make it look like more people coming to visit the White House than there really are lol

the Obama White House requires all unborn children visiting the White House to be registered as guests.

The White House requires no unborn children to be registered.  All visitors, however, must be registered, and so when a pregnant woman is planning a visit for after her due date, she initiates the paperwork and updates it when the baby is born.

Have y’all ever thought of looking into fact checking?  Because posting stuff like this really suggests to your readers that you might not not the brightest bulbs in the fake journalism business.

Some of the commentators are missing the point. If the White House is asking pregnant women to register their unborn child, even if the tour is supposed to occur some date in the future after the due date, then they are recognizing that human being that the mother is carrying as a life. Obama is in favor of “choosing” to kill that child, but also willing to use that child as a potential “visitor”.  How hypocritical. He is an evil man and needs to repent and be saved!

No, they are recognizing that the women will at one point, maybe before or during the time of the tour, go into labor and deliver the child. This creates less hassle for everyone involved; would you rather they not do it and the mother be left without a spot for her child?

      Three things:

1). No rational person believes that Obama is personally setting the White House visitor’s registration policy.  The Secret Service does that.
2). The registration policy exists because of the arguably excessive security concerns in the post 9/11 era, not because a higher headcount somehow benefits Obama.  There are a limited number of spaces available for tours, and these spaces fill out.  If it were beneficial to have more visitors, they would simply admit more visitors.
3). Registering a baby in advance of a visit isn’t any different from ordering baby furniture in advance of the due date.  The philosophy of what the fetus is is not relevant, because people are planning for after the baby is born.

The “buck” stops” with him- and in this case probably started with him! Rational thinking citizens realize that life (growth)  does exist from the moment of conception. Just as pollenization- fertilization are all the cause/effect of creation.
Our Creator had and has a wonderous and beautiful plan for all of His creation, although it is beyond our comprehension- and that is why He has given us the gift of FAITH!

he just gets stupider with his every move in my eyes,  for gods sake, if hes for abortion then would u please leave the kids alone????? i cant believe he wants to aknowledge the children in the womb but yet be all for killing them in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats honestly a heart break. any person who wants to kill their own kid to make this world have one less person might as well be killing themself!!!! wont make any difference in that case

I was overjoyed when I heard this news, but in looking into it more, I discovered it’s really being blown out of proportion.

People usually book White House tours months in advance. Occasionally, there are pregnant women who expect to give birth before the tour. The booking protocol is in place to make sure that if the child is born before the tour, s/he will already be on the list of participants and the information can just be updated. AND this policy was apparently in place before Obama.

There is definite hypocrisy here, but I think we need the complete story. Kudos to Mr. Barletta for speaking out about this!
