Hillary Clinton, who became the presumptive Democratic nominee for president selected a predictable place for her first speech in that role: Planned Parenthood. She addressed an audience at a Planned Parenthood Action Fund membership event in Washington, D.C.

“I will be your partner in this election and over the long haul,” Clinton told supporters. “Together we will come out stronger, just like Planned Parenthood has time and again. Together we are going to unify our country.”

Clinton, who has been a staunch advocate for the abortion giant, told the crowd that “life is far more humane when women are able to make their own reproductive decisions”

“We are going to break down all the barriers that hold women and families back,” Clinton said. “We are going to make history together in November.”

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund is the political arm of the abortion chain; it is laden with money that it has fed into Clinton’s campaign, so she appears to be returning the favor.

Clinton’s focus was criticizing Donald Trump on abortion, the Washington Post reports:

Clinton is expected to make the case that for women, a Trump presidency is “a risk we just can’t take” according to a Clinton aide. As she has on other issues — most notably in a major foreign policy speech last week — Clinton will highlight Trump’s own words as evidence.

A Trump presidency would be “frightening” when it comes to rights, Clinton plans to say during a speech at the Planned Parenthood Action Fund membership event in Washington on Friday.

Many pro-life leaders planned a peaceful protest today during Clinton’s speech. Lila Rose and a host of other female pro-life leaders have issued a joint statement in light of Clinton’s speech:

As female leaders of the pro-life movement who represent millions of women of all ages, we cannot celebrate this first nomination of a woman for the office of the U.S. president by a major political party because of Hillary Clinton’s radical pro-abortion record and alliance with the abortion lobby. The unholy alliance between Clinton and Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain, is disgraceful.

Planned Parenthood receives over $500 million in taxpayer money annually, then funnels tens of millions of dollars to candidates like Clinton to further its agenda and increase its bottom line.  They both profit from the abortion industry in a self-serving cycle.  Instead of empowering women, Clinton and Planned Parenthood lie to women, betray women, and sell out women and children, all in the name of profit.  Hillary Clinton and Planned Parenthood do not represent us.

The statement is signed by Rose, as well as Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America, Marjorie Dannenfelser of Susan B.  Anthony List,  Jeanne Mancini of The March for Life, Penny Nance of Concerned Women for America, and others.
