Hillary Clinton: I will put pro-abortion judicial activists on Supreme Court

This week, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton confirmed that as president, she would have a pro-abortion litmus test for her judicial nominees.

“I would not appoint someone who didn’t think Roe v. Wade is settled law,” the former First Lady, New York Senator, and Secretary of State said during a campaign event in Madison, Wisconsin, identifying Justice Sonia Sotomayor as an example of her ideal jurist.

Sotomayor won the endorsement of NARAL for her support of a constitutional right to abortion when President Barack Obama nominated her in 2009.

Clinton also blasted Senate Republicans for refusing to consider Obama’s latest Supreme Court nominee, Judge Merrick Garland. Garland has not directly taken a position on abortion, but Live Action News has documented several indicators of pro-abortion leanings, including ties to pro-abortion Justice William Brennan and a vote siding with the Obama Administration’s contraception mandate.

“You know, we chose a president. We chose him twice. And now Republicans in the Senate are acting like our votes didn’t count and President Obama is not still the nation’s leader,” she said, despite the fact that the public put the Senate back in Republican hands two years after Obama’s reelection.

Hillary Clinton has a 100% pro-abortion record and platform and is endorsed by abortion giant Planned Parenthood. In January, she suggested that Obama himself, who has refused to support legislation protecting infants born alive during abortions, would make a good Supreme Court Justice.
