A Planned Parenthood facility in Iowa has officially shut down after it announced its closure earlier this year. The location in Dubuque, which offered medication abortions only, reported a drop in clientele as reason for closure.
The Dubuque location was in operation for eight years, and it is among almost a dozen satellite Planned Parenthood facilities to shutter in recent years.
In 2014, Planned Parenthood closed facilities in Red Oak and Creston; and over the years, the abortion giant shut down similar facilities in Ankeny, Fort Dodge, Fort Madison, Knoxville, Newton, Mount Pleasant Storm Lake, Spencer and Washington.
Dubuque County Right to Life posted the following images on its Facebook page, celebrating the closure.
Marian Boureck, executive director of the Dubuque County Right to Life, told NBC that the closure is a victory.
“This is a victory for women and their unborn children. We stood here every hour that this facility was open for business, to show the women that we care, they are not alone.”
Boureck noted that pro-life sidewalk counselors helped to save the lives of at least 20 preborn children at the Dubuque Planned Parenthood.
“We know of at least 20 babies that have had their lives saved, because we were here to offer positive alternatives,” she said.

The abortion business’ taxpayer funding has come under scrutiny, as videos released last year revealed Planned Parenthood leadership discussing the procurement of fetal organs.
