Joy Behar repeats lie that Planned Parenthood provides mammograms

Ben Carson appeared on The View this week, and the topic of abortion and Planned Parenthood came up. This led to a debate, as Carson is pro-life and most of the women on The View are pro-abortion shills for Planned Parenthood. But it’s not exactly a fair argument when one side refuses to deal in actual facts and just repeats pro-abortion talking points — even talking points that have been thoroughly discredited. For example, Joy Behar asked why Republicans are so against Planned Parenthood, as they provide vital services like… mammograms.

That’s right — even though the CEO of Planned Parenthood, Cecile Richards herself, admitted to Congress that Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms, Joy Behar is still repeating the mammogram lie.

Abortion advocates seem to have some kind of aversion to telling the truth. Could it be because they know that the truth is so unpalatable to the American public? No one wants to fund an abortion giant, an organization that exists solely to take the lives of preborn babies… so they have to create other reasons to keep the taxpayer money flowing. And hey, everyone hates cancer, right? So bingo! Planned Parenthood helps prevent cancer. Never mind that it’s not true. It sure does sound good, right?

The fact is, the mammogram lie has long since been debunked, and now even Planned Parenthood’s president and CEO has admitted that it’s false. It’s also long past time to stop claiming that Planned Parenthood is an essential provider of women’s health. Planned Parenthood’s business is abortion, period. And there are far more actual comprehensive health clinics that provide real, low-cost health care to women than there are Planned Parenthood clinics.

So let’s stop pretending that Planned Parenthood is in the business of women’s health care, and at least be honest for once.
