Lila Rose on BBC: all unborn children deserve the right to life

This evening Live Action President Lila Rose appeared on the BBC Newsnight program  and addressed the topic of abortion in cases of rape. Lila communicated that abortion does not remove the terrible violence of rape, but only adds to it by giving an innocent child the death penalty. Hear Lila’s full thoughts in the video below:

you sock it to ‘em Lila, courageous chick, I hope you come to Australia one day

  • InGodWeTrust

Thank you, Lila! You rock!!! WOMEN DESERVE BETTER than the killing of their unborn child. BREAK THE CHAINS of abortion!!!

  • JFreak

Great job, Lila Rose!!! You were able to get in all your talking points, and I was even impressed w/the BBC interviewer! The questions were thoughtful, pertinent & our news media should take lessons. He seemed to actually listen to both sides & not promote one side or the other.

I was impressed til the end where he said “pp deny”….

Lila thinks Romney will protect the unborn? Isn’t he making it clear that isn’t the case? I want to believe pro-lifers can make a difference, but if we continue to support half-baked candidates like Romney, things will only (slowly) get worse. The next Republican choice, if Romney wins, will be even more relaxed on abortion.
I wish pro-life champions like Lila and others would see that and call him out. Without their voice of opposition, we’ll lose this fight.

The BBC commentator hit the nail on the head when he pointed out that Romney is Gov. Flip-Flop and Rep. Ryan is just a tool to get people like Lila to vote for him.

      • Tony

I agree. A shame she and others are falling for it. I like Lila. I think she can really make a difference. But we have to be willing to stand against both Democrats and Republicans who do not support life. If Pro-Lifers would hold their votes this election, and Romney lost by a landslide, the Republicans would be forced to acknowledge their mistake and fix it. They would be forced to play by our rules.

We have to stop letting them push us around just because the other guy is even worse.

But the alternative is OBAMA, the most blatant pro-abortion president in history, and I am not voting for him. Yes the ideal is no exceptions, but we need to start somewhere. Romney/ Ryan is going to be a good start at defunding planned parenthood and outlawing abortions.

I voted for Santorum, but it is between Romney and Obama and helping re-elect Obama in some sort of desperate hope that the 2016 GOP Candidate will be better while Obama destroys America doesn’t sound like much of a plan to me.

I thought that if I was raped and got pregnant I would have to give the baby up because I wouldn’t be able to look at the baby without see the face of the rapost.
My daughter was gang raped and got pregnant. She lost the baby after 2 months. She didn’t tell me til 6 months later. When I think of that baby, I don’t see it as a rapest’s baby, it is my daughter’s baby, My grandchild, She misses that baby and so do I. I will see that baby again some day.
The reason she waited so long was because she knew that I would want to take her to talk to the police. So she told me when she was ready to talk to the police. The police didn’t even write up a report but we did the right thing.

Praying for healing for you and your daughter! I too look forward to seeing loved ones in Heaven.

When people who would hesitate to run a red light think it is ok to kill a child in the womb, something is wrong. Great Job Lila. If abortion is not a crime, nothing is a crime.

Go Lila! Nice Job! If we’re going to condemn and ask ppl to leave or not run for an office because they said something stupid or without thinking, Biden should have left a LONG time ago!! At least Akin apologized – over & over in fact. Pro choice believers should be taking a better look at how women who have had abortions are negatively affected both physically and emotionally for the rest of their lives. What is wrong with letting a baby live and giving it up for adoption??! Someone will be willing to love that child and not condemn them for who their parents are. Lila is right. We need ppl in office who will elect pro-life judges & STOP funding planned parenthood

    This is
a powerful defense of the unborn.
Lila spells out the plain unvarnished truth in relation to abortion.
The unborn child irrespective of how it was conceived is a human being
which has the right to life.

    Lets
hear it from president Obama: Rape is rape and abortion is murder.

Awesome job Lila! You are so well spoken, and were very capable in getting your message across! (Glad you didn’t let him interrupt you :)

One of the things that annoys me about this entire conversation is that even if we were to be able to get a right to life amendment to the constitution, tyrannical supreme court justices will just declare it unconstitutional. Even if we were to amend the 14th specifically to what it is “except in the case of abortion”, the tyrannical supreme court justices would still overrule it as unconstitutional. Don’t get me wrong, more than anything in the world, I want congress to write this into the constitution, but I don’t understand why pro abortion people are getting all worked up over this being a part of the republican platform…

  • Mary

Great job, Lila. You’re an absolute hero to the Pro Life cause.

Eloquentlyand consicely spoken as always, Lila. I do think Live Action should be quick to point out that only about 3 in a 1,000 abortions performed in the U.S. are result of abortion or incest;so the total ban on abortion is a relatively small matter compared to ending elective abortion. As a pro-lifer, I feel the goal should be making elective abortion illegal. Any OB can tell you that there is never a case, with today’s modern medicine, that the life of a mother is a reason for terminating a pregnancy. There are simple facts that, the more widely they are disseminated, the more the American people will see the light. We don’t have to use an ounce of vitriol in making our case, though we should make it loudly and resolutely no matter the consequences. The truth is on our side.
