Michigan abortionist Martin Ruddock has been fined over a thousand dollars by the Michigan Board of Medicine and Board of Pharmacy for sedating abortion patients without a valid license from the Drug Enforcement Agency, Life News reports.

Martin also admitted to pre-signing non-controlled prescription pads, and received a formal reprimand from the state pharmacy board.

Life News provides an overview of Ruddock’s various legal problems dating back to 1998, when he was arrested for a road rage incident in which he smashed another driver’s van window. In 2006, his Ohio clinic was temporarily shut down by state health inspectors for failing to meet basic medical standards. In 2011, a former patient sued him for refusing to stop inserting laminaria when she changed her mind about going through with a second-trimester abortion.

In 2013, Ruddock moved to Michigan after his Ohio abortion clinic was shut down for failure to meet licensing standards.

In November 2012, Live Action News reported that Ruddock’s Ohio clinic had been the site of at least four botched abortions, two of which came within one five-week period.
