Parents share their son with the world, though he only lived 5 hours

Amy and Andy, a couple from Mahomet, IL, were married with one son, Jackson, when they found out they were expecting their second child. But the excitement turned to anger and sadness at Amy’s 12 week routine ultrasound appointment when she sensed something was wrong. As she told News Channel 15:

The whole time I’m looking at the scan thinking, maybe, his head just doesn’t look right. Maybe it’s blurry. It’s probably nothing. I’m just, ya know, being nervous.

However, the doctor soon told Amy that baby Gabriel had anencephaly, a condition that is “incompatible with life.” According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, anencephaly is a rare neural tube defect (1 in 4,859) that occurs when the upper part of the neural tube doesn’t completely close. It happens during the first month of pregnancy and as a result, most of the brain, including the forebrain and cerebrum do not form. The couple was told that Gabriel could die within seconds of his birth.

Amy says that in that moment of hearing the diagnosis her emotions ran from shock and anger to disbelief. She wondered why this was happening to her child. But despite their fears, Amy and Andy knew that they needed to capture every precious moment of Gabriel’s life, both in and out of the womb, quite simple because “he’s our son”. They took family photos while Amy was pregnant and asked a volunteer photographer from the organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep to take photographs during Gabriel’s delivery.

Gabriel was born on November 5, 2013 and lived for 5 ½ hours. Those hours were moments and memories created with their son and preserved for the family through photographs.

The reporter from News Channel 15 asked Amy and Andy why they chose to share their story. And for them, it was quite simple. As Amy says in the interview:

This is very difficult to go through and I don’t want anybody to feel like they’re alone or have no option. You know, maybe not even a fatal diagnosis but just a difficult diagnosis to deal with. If we could help somebody even minutely that would be enough for us.

There’s no doubt that Gabriel’s story is helping another distraught couple choose life for their child who has received a prenatal diagnosis. Despite only living 5 ½ hours outside of the womb, Gabriel has the power to change and save lives.

Some friends from our church had a similar experience in the 90’s. Their daughter lived only a few hours. They held her, cuddled her and loved her during her brief life. The family will go to their graves knowing that baby Hope died peacefully and surrounded by people who cared for her. She did not have her limbs pulled off, her brain sucked out through the foramen magnum, nor did she twist in agony from drug induced cardiac arrest.

    • DianaG2

Amen, dear BH. God bless you.

  • PrincessJasmine4

Pro aborts do not consider this beautiful child a person

    I’m not making this up

This is what they have to say about it, literally:

    dance commander

If that was legal, Gosnell would not be in jail, dumbass.
The Court’s opinion in Doe v. Bolton stated that a woman may obtain an abortion after viability, if necessary to protect her health. The Court defined “health” as follows:
“Whether, in the words of the Georgia statute, “an abortion is necessary” is a professional judgment that the Georgia physician will be called upon to make routinely. We agree with the District Court, 319 F. Supp., at 1058, that the medical judgment may be exercised in the light of all factors – physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman’s age – relevant to the well-being of the patient. All these factors may relate to health.”
Jesus fucking Christ you’re a dumbfuck. Reading comprehension isn’t your strongsuit is it?
Yeah, health. As in, she’s fucking dying from the pregnancy. Or the fetus is. Or her mental health – as in, the pregnancy is causing severe hormonal imbalances and depression that lead to suicide. As in, she is SCHIZOPHRENIC and pregnancy worsens the condition or requires that she does not use her meds. Age – right, you think 12 year old rape victims should be forced to give birth if raped.
    Your stupidity is breathtaking.
But..are you telling us you think abortion is WRONG unless the baby doesn’t measure up physically? :)
An anencephalic fetus – when the brain does not develop – cannot survive outside the womb. It is not a matter of ‘measuring up physically’ – it is a matter of a deformity so severe that the baby is literally a bag of skin and bones, NO BRAIN!!!

    • Basset_Hound

Wow! Apparently that 10 Cute Cats thread is like a zombie from hell that refuses to die! I can imagine one of your daughters taking over posting for you when you are too old to continue pecking out commentary!

Sometimes I feel like cutting and pasting a collection feminoid, pro-abort comments (and reference links) to repeat whenever someone accuses conservatives, pro-lifers or “teabaggers” of being “full of hate and rage”. Never mind that “teabaggers” is itself a disgusting term.

      • PrincessJasmine4

That’s exactly what my goal is :-)

Ugh.. you have no idea what they’ve been saying..
I can’t tell you how evil they are.. eeeewwwww

        • Basset_Hound

I think I remember encountering “dance commander” here a couple of times before Calvin kicked her sorry electronic butt to the curb and locked the door behind him.

I applaud you for keeping up the fight. You’re a better woman than I am.

          • PrincessJasmine4

She’s changed her name so many times it’s hard to keep track
She probly got kicked off for sock puppetry

          • Basset_Hound

I think she got kicked off because she was a nasty bit.. Oh never mind.

          • MarcusFenix

Don’t tell her that….she swore up and down repeatedly that she was the bastion of civil discourse! Of course, when I called BS on it, and she got snippy, well….i already knew what was up, so yeah. :)

          • PrincessJasmine4

            Ahhh…thanks

I havent replied to them in a few days but I plan on doing so soon

Dance Commander was actually stalking me
thats why i had to make my profile private.

        • DianaG2

Sometimes you just have to stay away. I don’t know if I could subject myself to it.

          • PrincessJasmine4

I don;t advise commenting on there… it can turn ugly very quickly
I don;t have the time and energy to even go back…but i will eventually.
One of the chicks was stalking me at one point.

          • Basset_Hound

Apparently stalking is a favorite tactic. Another pro-life commentator jumped in. I was impressed, and wanted to follow him/her. All the person’s activity was “private”. Sigh!

          • DianaG2

            Sheesh!

            That’s really scary.

But — I can tell how scary they are from what they write.

          • PrincessJasmine4

            I”m actually happy with it.
This is the kind of attitude that is winning people over to the pro life side.
More and more people (mostly fence sitters) are seeing the pro aborts for who they truly are.
I love when they show their true colors.
It’s so evident how depraved these people are by their comments

I say they should just keep up the good work.

            It’s good for us :-)

          • Faye Valentine

Yeah. I’m done over there as well. Nothing but bile, obfuscation, and vitriol over there. I prefer to let that do the speaking for me. Soooooo glad I don’t have to turn into an inhuman beast to try and defend my actions or choices. But, I have never killed one of my own children, would never do so, and don’t cheer people on when they choose to do so, either. I swear, reading their comments is like an epic retelling of “The Telltale Heart”.

          • PrincessJasmine4

It’s becoming apparent that two of the MO’s of the pro abort is the straw man and word twisting I answered a few more comments last night since I was up and had the time But I think I’ll just let those hens rule the roost over there

I love seeing them come undone and just blindly attack
            It’s so entertaining
It’s pretty obvious they have nothing better to do with their lives than spend time shouting down strangers every waking moment and then back to gaming Ah well
            Time flies
Gotta drive all the kiddos to school!!

          • DianaG2

Give ‘em kisses from us LOL :-)

          • MarcusFenix

Agreed…I held the line for a while, but there’s only so many times I can type out how some small-minded person is trying to twist around an argument and use facts outside of their intended purpose, and somehow think they’ve come ahead.

It was fun to watch them come unraveled a bit though, even if there was a minor irritation at some of them..and watching their linguistically-based gymnastics was entertaining a bit.

BTW…I sent you an email, i guess about a month or so ago, but not sure if you got it. If you didn’t, just let me know (or send a good one to mine, marcusfenix77x@gmail.com). If you did, that’s fine too…just wanted to be sure. cheers!

          • DianaG2

Wow, Faye —- that is SO TRUE!

They just keep telling on themselves.

          • DianaG2

            H mmmm …. excellent point!!

          • PrincessJasmine4

lol… I haven’t answered them in a few days (I actually have a life) and one of them is still putting words in my mouth.
Again , her straw man is the only thing she can defeat.
She’s still going on about Marcus and he’s been on Vacay for a few days…
            so rich.

          • Basset_Hound

Jaz, have you heard how upset the Wonderful Ladies at Jezebel are over the fact that the wrong Walker died in a car wreck this weekend? They’ve got their panties in a wad over the fact that it was Paul (the Fast and Furious actor) rather than Scott (the anti-union governor of Wisconsin). Lovely people, aren’t they.

          • DianaG2

            LOL. Good!

          • PrincessJasmine4

            hah! I saw that
Libs are the most hateful people Ive encountered

I love how they put words into people’s mouths.
All they have is the straw man. What would they have without it?

          • Basset_Hound

Hell, you should have seen how some of them treated U of Alabama’s field goal kicker after their last second loss to Auburn.

Boo Hoo Hoo. Apparently someone doesn’t Like Me. I’m collecting Down Votes.

          • PrincessJasmine4

            I saw.. :-(

Apparently the stalker thinks I’m stalking her because I unfortunately receive all the emails of the responses on that thread.
She thinks she’s taunting me… you should see..
            So sad and pathetic…
I answered her once and she had to answer me twice
That’s how much of a life she has.

            LOVE IT.

ah well… gotta get back to running lines with the older… he’s got the lead in the school play. :-)

          • Basset_Hound

After the first time I encounter snarky mean e-mails in my account, I decided to shut that feature off. I get enough crap in my inbox anyway.

          • PrincessJasmine4

good Idea.. but.. morbid curiosity…. ahhh.. :-)

          • Basset_Hound

BTW, did you see the poster upthread who accused me of “posting bile”? REALLY????

          • PrincessJasmine4

yup… he’s on the mommyish… living it up with the other pro aborts….
I’m wondering if they even find it ironic how hateful they are yet accuse us of the same…

I’m actually enjoying how pathetic they are.
I love that they can’t stand that I have a pretty decent life.
It’s eating them up from the inside out.. so much so that they think I’m making it up… ah well..what do I care?
He doesn’t seem like the sharpest tool in the shed… just the tool.

It’s never surprising to me when a dude is a pro abort.
He’s probably the author of http://www.returnofkings.com/16089/how-to-convince-a-girl-to-get-an-abortion
Wouldn’t be surprised if he was related to Tucker in some way.

            Haters gotta hate..
I don’t have time for it.

          • Basset_Hound

Jaz, I didn’t post one keystroke of commentary on that wretched discussion thread. All I did was to dole out UP votes to those (you included) who were getting hammered over there. Yet this person has the gall to come here and hunt me down?

          • PrincessJasmine4

Don’t let him get to you Bassett
He’s Just a miserable little man who wants to make everyone as miserable as he is You have no idea what they’ve been saying about me and some others
            But whatever
If that’s what makes them feel good about their pathetic little lives, so be it Glad to be of service even

          • DianaG2

Gotta hate — and kill the small, helpless and vulnerable.

          • DianaG2

Yes, I was surprised by their willingness to embarrass themselves in public, right out in the open, on that one.

Why not just accuse you of being a KGB agent or something?

          • DianaG2

            lol, me too.

          • DianaG2

I tried shutting the email notices down, but I started the process of doing that, and I got a message that said I would have to close out my whole account.

            Color me confused?

          • MarcusFenix

            Here, this might help.

At the top of the forum thread, where the messages start, your screen name should be on the lower right hand side, under the posting box. Has a drop down arrow. Click on that arrow, and choose “Edit Settings”.

That will take you to the Disqus dashboard/website and produce a popup window.

On the left, with the other headings, choose “Notifications”. You’ll see it has check boxes for receiving notifications by email, the Digest page, emails when people respond, and so on. Remove the check from the boxes or adjust accordingly and that should do it, I think. :)

          • DianaG2

Hey, Marcus, thanks for the help. That worked — except now, I think I will get no notices at all.

Maybe you’ll never see me again?

            EEEEEEEEKK!

          • MarcusFenix

Sadly, it doesn’t give you a really wide variety of choices in the matter. You can stagger things like the Digest update for either per day or per week, but it doesn’t give you any real options for much else. Maybe in the future, the program developers will work something out.

Past that, if you want to stay up on conversations or the like, you either have to contact someone from the list (other posters on the board here) directly, or manually check each story out to see updates.

          • Basset_Hound

Thanks. I did this right after I got the first crapload of snott-e-mails after I started posting at Discus. Haven’t looked back since.

          • MarcusFenix

Well, I get all of the replies from people on the boards, but I spared myself some trouble by using a dummy email account instead of my main one for signing in. It’s a different mail to check, but so far people haven’t been stupid enough to try and start a war with me outside of here…like it would do them any good. ;)

          • DianaG2

            Kewl.

          • DianaG2

            Really? Isn’t that a crime?

GROSS! (Not surprised, though. They are truly demented and twisted.)

          • DianaG2

            VERY UGLY!!

But, pro-lifers are supposed to be the ones “lacking compassion?”

          • MarcusFenix

You and I have had a small conversation about this before, and I don’t want to get toooooo personal about it or pry.

As a point of mention, it’s always been my experience that confronting adversity and facing down your personal demons, while certainly trying on the constitution, is really the best way to deal with them. Problems never really go away, and each person deals with trauma differently, but at the end of the day, I personally believe that when you allow fear to do the driving, your destination is rarely the one you wanted.

If you want, shoot me an email (marcusfenix77x@gmail.com), and i’ll be diligent about checking that inbox regularly for a few days, since I wouldn’t want you to air your dirty laundry here. :)

            cheers!

        • blair miller

Also just plain rely rely rely immature!

          • DianaG2

            Amen.

        • Basset_Hound
      • DianaG2

I don’t get it about the “10 Cute Cats”? What is that?

      • CJ99

Calling you a teabagger is factually acurate. After all the bile you’ve posted its hardly the worst thing to describe you either.

        • Basset_Hound

Do you actually have any points to make, or are you here just to insult the people who post here?

          • CJ99

Ironic you question if I’m making a point when you clearly don’t. Really i’m not mad (unlike yourself) but poking your puffed up and quite unjustified self importance. In other words my hint to you is this: your just a fanboy, but instead of some movie or gaming system your fixation is a twisted brand of fundamentalism.

          • MamaBear

You call someone a “teabagger,” yet in fact have no idea of her politics. She could be a liberal in everything except abortion. (By the way, teabagger is a term used by liberals to insult the tea party, so if you want to give at least the appearance of not being hateful, I would suggest not using it.)
You call her a fundamentalist, yet the truth is, you have no idea her religion. Others besides fundamentalists are pro-life. There are even people of many different religions, and of no religion at all who are prolife. One of the best arguments I have heard against abortion at any stage was by an MD who was an atheist.
Oh, and again, you claim not to be a hater, drop the rest of the insults, too – “puffed up,” “fanboy”……..got the picture. Basic rule of debate, never insult your opposition. It gives them an advantage.

          • CJ99

Perhaps instead of running your mouth you could instead learn history, they (and you since you’ve lumped yourself in) are called teabaggers as that’s exactly where the reference came from in history which you so utterly fail to understand. I’m not even american and understand americas history better than you do. Don’t worry I won’t give you a history lecture here, you’re really not that important. Instead look it up instead of throwing out random mufflebutt statements that make yourself even more foolish, if thats even possible.

          • MamaBear

“Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly.”
This is going to be gooood! Bless your poor little ignorant heart!
FIRST: The modern Tea Party has given themselves the name Tea Party, not tea baggers. This is in honor of the Boston Tea Party, when the Sons of Liberty (and probably others) boarded three British ships and dumped over 300 crates of tea into Boston Harbor on the night of December 16, 1773 as a protest against the tea tax that was passed by Parliament earlier that year. By the way, not a one of those colonial patriots had ever seen or heard of a tea bag.
SECONDLY: The tea bag is a twentieth century invention! Prior to tea bags people either let tea leaves settle to the bottom of the cup or teapot (that is where reading tea leaves comes from) or would strain their sweet tea through muslin. (I had elderly relations who still did.) I took the time to look this up. The tea bag was actually patented in 1903, although it did not become widespread until about the depression.
THIRDLY: I am not a Tea Partier. I have both conservative and liberal friends. Plus many in-between. Not a one of my liberal friends would approve of your name calling, you would be an embarrassment to them.

          • MarcusFenix

Stahp kunfyuzing him wif faks and stuf. ;)

          • PrincessJasmine4

            Silly mama bear!
            He’s not going to understand!

You have to stick with shorter sentences and less numbers
            Numbers confuse him

It’s worse than talking to a brick wall

At least with the wall, you won’t get the incoherent attempts at snark

          • DianaG2

            WTG, Mama.

          • Basset_Hound

Wow! What makes you think you know Jack about my motivations or how I spend my time? Telepathy? Clairvoyance? I thought X Files and Fringe were both fictional shows!

          • CJ99

what you willfully ignored is your own hubris is so blatant its visible for all to see, thats how I and everyone else can see you for what you are. Yes you are indeed puffed up far beyond what you yourself could ever justify yet you accuse me of believing 2 fictitions tv shows are somehow real. No thanks, I’ll keep living in reality and instead of screaming about it you should instead try it sometime. Time you faced facts and admit at least to yourself that the garbage you spew is just that. In the real world I mentioned our silly diatribes are irrelevant. That’s why you’re made fun of with good reason. Your gigantic ego means nothing.

          • DianaG2

Um — what are you talking about? Do YOU even know?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

You keep talking smack about people’s ego(s) and calling these people “ignorant” but you haven’t yet proven beyond a shadow of reasonable doubt with conclusive empirical evidence.

          • MarcusFenix

It’s too bad that our blowhard friend here wouldn’t know reality if it drop-kicked him in the face, but somehow you’re the one full of hubris. :P Bad trolls are bad.

          • MarcusFenix

I find that, in and of itself, funny seeing as you’ve dropped multiple comments on threads as a reply to me that are 3 weeks or more old, and didn’t even attempt to make a point, so…there’s that.

Are you fixated with games or movies, just past casual enjoyment. That’s the third time i’ve seen that sort of reference, and you’re using it on someone who has a name of “basset hound”…with a picture of a dog.

          • CJ99

Nope theres a point but it keeps going over your head as long as you bury it in the sand. Btw you called yourself “marcusfenix” ergo the fixation is your own. You can’t blame anyone else for that no more than you can for your other foolish behaviours. the last bit of your comment is even more senseless than the rest which typifies your whole manner of (not) thinking. But really I don’t need to further waste my time replying to you. You’re doing a great job of showing off your own foolish arrogance. So congratulations you finally got something right, too bad it does you no good.

          • MarcusFenix

“Nope theres a point but it keeps going over your head as long as you bury it in the sand.”

Except you’re not actually -making- a point for anything. You’re not really contributing to the discussion except by calling someone else a “teabagger”, lobbing insults/ad hominems and generally trolling. If you have a point, then make it.

“Btw you called yourself “marcusfenix” ergo the fixation is your own.
You can’t blame anyone else for that no more than you can for your other
            foolish behaviours.”

Yes, because heavens knows that choosing a name suddenly equates to some massive fixation. That’s like me saying that you chose your name because you have a fixation on 4 number/letter combos, or that you couldn’t remember anything past that.

What foolish behaviors? So far, all you’ve said is…well, nothing. Please, feel free to enumerate.

” the last bit of your comment is even more senseless than the rest which typifies your whole manner of (not) thinking.”

This coming from a guy who points the nonsensical gaming fetish idea at someone who has the name of a canine on their Disqus. Yup, i’m the one being senseless here.

“But really I don’t need to further waste my time replying to you. ”

Except where you did it what, 3 or 4 times earlier…a little poop and scoop posting with no merit, no actual point of discussion, and barely anything past insults? Please, don’t feel the need to waste more time, you’ll save us all a great deal of eye rolling.

“You’re doing a great job of showing off your own foolish arrogance. ”

Yup…that’s me. Showing off arrogance to someone that has trouble forming basic thoughts like yourself.

            You’re done. :)

          • Basset_Hound

Basic thoughts? Hell! This guy has trouble formulating a basic SENTENCE.

          • MamaBear

And he knows neither history or current events. See my comment above.

          • Basset_Hound

My only hope is that he gets really tired of thrashing about on these forums. I hope he will put away his laptop, his smart phone, his Kindle, and whatever electronic devices he has to get the professional help he so sorely needs. Then he can deal with his anger constructively instead of taking out his hostilities on the web with faceless strangers.

          • PrincessJasmine4

My hope is that he remains this way
That way normal people will realize what pro aborts are really like
He’s doing us a favor Bassett
            Why ruin a good thing?

          • MarcusFenix

He will when they drop the next update to his favorite anime series. Or when his mom screams “Don’t make me come down into that basement, you go to bed!”

          • Basset_Hound

            DAMMIT MARCUS!!!
I just spewed my Vente Peppermint Mocha Latte all over my IPhone when I read this.

          • MarcusFenix

            HAHA! You’re welcome!

Please tell me you’re not drinking starbucks though…I had higher expectations! ;)

If I may suggest something along the same lines, I found some of the Girl Scouts’ Thin Mint coffee creamer at the store the other day, where it hadn’t been present before. Not sure if it’s seasonal, or just new and now being sold, but I can assure you it’s more than worth it. :)

          • Basset_Hound

Sorry to disappoint you Marcus. Starbucks is about the only place that makes coffee strong enough for me, especially when I get them to add an expresso shot. But I’ll look for the creamer. It sounds delicious.

          • MarcusFenix

I just can’t do it…it tastes like overly expensive dirt water. The only thing they make I can drink is their iced caramel macchiato, but that’s it.

I have found that some of the more dark roast selections from Gevalia are quite good, and should compare. Also, check out Blue Mountain, from Jamaica (link below for both) It’s a bit more expensive than what you’d get elsewhere, but the taste and quality is hard to be matched, and Starbucks doesn’t even compare. Expect to pay $35 or so (US) for a pound though. I’ve seen it, randomly, at a Trader Joe’s and at a Fresh Market back where I used to live. They also have blends and other items, which are lest costly but still of excellent quality.

The creamer is excellent. It’s hard to not just drink it straight from the bottle! I was hoping they had a few other flavors, but the store here only had the Thin Mints and Samoa on the shelf.

We have a Trader Joe’s in my town. As soon as the weather improves, I’ll have to go over there and check it out.

          • MarcusFenix

I’ve been to a few Joe’s where they had it, and a few where they either didn’t have it or had one of the blends.

Well, it’s possible I suppose either is possible, or someone told him to stop bashing his digital face against an intellectual brick wall. Could go either way. ;)

          • PrincessJasmine4

In your case no, your brand of willfull ignorance is incurable. You refuse to admit you’ve got a problem.

          • DianaG2

            “Self importance?”

            Gosh, what a friggin’ moron.

I think they have a book of scripts for pro-aborts? Maybe they even have macros set up? They just type in a few keystrokes, voila!

            Instant hatred phraseology pops up.

          • Basset_Hound

As well as instant Lucy Van Pelt psychoanalysis by proxy.

          • MamaBear

My computer had some serious problems a while back and I’ve had to use the guest setting on Disc ever since. Just haven’t gotten around to fixing the account. (Too much other stuff I’m still trying to fix/access/restore. When I read about all the stalking and stuff from the pro-aborts, I’m beginning to think it might be best to just leave it this way. Seems quite a few of them are in serious need of help.

          • MamaBear

That should be Disqus, not Disc. It is also not letting me edit.

          • PrincessJasmine4

I think he’s hoping that if he’s inane enough he’ll get laid by one of the lovely ladies on mommyish

It’s not his fault that he’s so much cooler online

          • Basset_Hound

God knows some of those chicks will fall on their backs for anything with a pulse and brain waves. They’ll even brag about it.

          • PrincessJasmine4

            Absolutley

  • Abigail C

I’m so glad these parents loved him enough to let him live until he died natrually and surronded by love.

    • CJ99

forcing another to live in constant pain isn’t love, its torture DUH!

      • Rebekah

And tearing them apart with forceps or suction isn’t torture?

        • MamaBear

I looked up anencephaly and pain. It seems the condition itself does not cause pain, so the baby is not suffering in the womb. Opinions are mixed whether these babies are even capable of feeling pain, with many experts saying they probably can’t, but that opinion is not unanimous.
This means carrying the baby to term and allowing natural death after birth is not going to cause pain. But, abortion might or might not cause the baby pain. We cannot be sure.
I know if I were the mother, I would want the opportunity to hold my baby and say good-by.

          • Rebekah

            I know what you mean.
To clarify my views on anencephaly and abortion, as far as the baby’s capacity to feel pain is concerned, I don’t think that a person has to be able to feel pain in order for something to be torture. I would imagine that the government would still consider dismemberment to be torture, even if the person being dismembered was under heavy anesthesia. In my opinion, it’s the action that makes something like abortion torture, not whether or not the baby can feel pain.

      • Andrew J. Corrales

That depends on whether you think it is better to be alive and in pain or dead and therefore of unknown whereabouts and well-being, assuming you believe there is somewhere to go. I personally suppose that while there’s life, there’s hope.

  • blair miller

People keep saying that if your child is diagnosed with a life threaten condition or illness that shortens their life . That’s a good reason to abort, but in reality thats a good reason not to abort. If your child diagnosed with something, why make their life shoter? You should tried to make their life as long , and happy as possible.I solute this couple, who didn’t kill their son. A brief life is still a life worth having.

    • MamaBear

Plus, late term abortions are actually more dangerous for the mother than allowing the baby to simply go to term. Emotionally, has to be rough either way, but long-term, I would think aborting a dying child would be harder than giving a dying baby a few hours of comfort.

      • DianaG2

Absolutely. You would always know that you gave the little guy or gal at least a chance.

      • CJ99

And the sky on earth is pink too. You really do live in a fantasy world.

        • Rebekah

Well, to be fair, I have seen some pink skies. Out here we call them sunsets and sunrises.

          • MamaBear

Pinks and oranges every evening here. My part of the country has the most colorful sunsets on earth. (At least that is the claim is, I haven’t personally checked.)

        • Andrew J. Corrales

The bigger the unborn child, the harder it will be to get the child out, even when it’s dismembered.

    • DianaG2

YES, that is a very good point, blair. God bless you.
