Planned Parenthood and Cecile Richards block Live Action and Lila Rose from Twitter

Planned Parenthood is demonstrating that it has no interest in dialogue with individuals who don’t agree with its extreme abortion agenda, or with those who expose its abuses.

The abortion giant has blocked both Live Action and its president, Lila Rose, from viewing select Twitter accounts.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and president Cecile Richards, have blocked Rose from following and viewing content; Live Action has been banned from viewing content from Richards, too, along with other Planned Parenthood accounts.

In addition, multiple Planned Parenthood accounts have blocked Live Action from viewing their profiles.

In 2009, prior to the update of Live Action’s Twitter handle, half of Planned Parenthood’s Twitter accounts had blocked the pro-life group. It’s clear that Planned Parenthood has no interest in dialogue with individuals on the other side of the abortion debate.

Planned Parenthood’s refusal of dialogue, however, goes beyond its online platforms. From corporate executives to local facility staffers, the abortion giant has a history of flouting the law and ignoring documented abuses. When confronted, Planned Parenthood only accuses the evidence investigative journalists present as fabricated, “heavily edited” material.

While Live Action’s investigations have revealed serious violations by Planned Parenthood, the abortion giant has repeatedly smeared investigators.

In 2008, a Planned Parenthood counselor in Bloomington, Indiana, covered up suspected child sexual abuse, and coached Rose on how to circumvent the law to obtain an abortion. The staffer ignored mandatory reporting laws and helped to cover up the crime.

Planned Parenthood was also caught covering up child sex-trafficking, working alongside a pimp and his prostitute to obtain secret abortions for their underage sex slaves. This tape, obtained by Live Action at a Planned Parenthood in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, contains disturbing footage of a staffer aiding and abetting child sex-traffickers.

Perhaps these damning revelations, which are only the tip of the Planned Parenthood iceberg, are why the group has refused dialogue with Live Action. To this day, the abortion giant refuses to debate Rose on national television, although Richards has received invites from Live Action’s president.

Perhaps in a confrontation with the truth, Planned Parenthood realizes it will be forced to face the contradiction of its work— the killing of over 320,000 little children. Or, Planned Parenthood is aware that many Americans, who already do not hold its extreme abortion ideology, will have an unfavorable view of the abortion giant when faced with these abuses.

Thus, the group hides its content from Live Action and approves censoring the pro-life group. In late January, Planned Parenthood applauded United Airlines’ apparent censorship of Live Action’s news website from its in-flight wifi. The group tweeted the following message after Rose posted that United permitted the websites of Planned Parenthood and NARAL, but blocked Live Action News.

81241213-4caf-47ad-92e5-7e30b3533b71While United Airlines clarified that its wifi provider relies on a third party to categorize websites, and had labeled Live Action News as “streaming and downloadable video,” Planned Parenthood claimed that censorship was intentional. United has since stated they would correct the matter.

With no defense for its numerous documented abuses, it is clear why censorship and smear are the tactics Planned Parenthood uses to cover up the truth— it’s only business as usual.
