Analysis: Planned Parenthood’s unintended pregnancy claims don’t add up

via wkbn.com

Each year you’ll see Planned Parenthood pat themselves on the back for the services they provide. All this despite how their more legitimate healthcare services go down.

The self-congratulating isn’t always just nauseating. Sometimes it’s a bit odd as well.

Their most recent annual report for 2014 reads as follows:

The weird part is that they are claiming to have averted more unintended pregnancies in 2014 than 2013 despite providing less contraceptive services across the board.

Here is the screenshot from the 2013 report:

And screenshots of their detailed totals show the decline in all categories:

So Planned Parenthood’s contraceptive services are DOWN across the board and yet they claim to have prevented MORE unintended pregnancies than the year before. How does that make sense?

Planned Parenthood says the number of unintended pregnancies averted is calculated using a formula from the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, which was founded by Planned Parenthood. Their report does not disclose the formula they used or how it apparently changed fro 2013 to 2014.
