Planned Parenthood’s continued abortion expansion

In abortion, money is all too often the name of the game.

Planned Parenthood Merging

Planned Parenthood is merging its affiliate in Nebraska and Iowa, PP of the Heartland, with its Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma affiliate. Not surprisingly, organization higher-ups are already planning where in the new “territory” for the larger, merged Planned Parenthood of the Heartland they could expand abortion services:

Jill June, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, said the organization is conducting a six-month review of services to be offered at its new clinics in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She said abortions, both surgical and via the abortion pill, are among the services the organization is considering adding.

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, based in Des Moines, Iowa, signed a management contract effective July 1 stating intent to merge with Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma by Jan. 1. After the merger is complete, the new organization would have about 30 clinics in Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.

“Over the next six months, we will review and analyze client access and need to determine what additional services will be offered in Oklahoma. Abortion care is one of many services we will analyze over the next six months,” June said.

Currently, no Planned Parenthoods in Oklahoma actually perform abortions. This latest news is just the beginning of Planned Parenthood implementing its master plan to have all affiliates doing abortions by 2013.
