Pro-abortion blogger ignores Planned Parenthood’s racism, says pro-lifers racist

Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger

Amanda Patton, a blogger and abortion industry worker whom I’ve mentioned previously, designs t-shirts featuring her pet cat. Bearing a slogan that many would consider highly inappropriate, the shirts help pay for pro-abortion advertising. “Cats,” she contends, “are just naturally pro-choice because they do not care what women do with their bodies.”

I have to say, I’m a little skeptical about cats embracing pro-abortion politics. Maybe that’s because Patton doesn’t cite any polling data to support the idea. Or maybe it’s because they’re cats.

Feline beliefs aren’t Ms. Patton’s only area of concern, though. She also uses her blog to document the “hate speech” that pro-lifers spread near her abortion facility. Some of that comes in the form of “cruel,” “shameful” messages like the one pictured below…

Terrifying, right? Source: founderswhc.com.

However, Patton says it’s not all baby blue letters and pink hearts. According to her, a pro-life demonstrator was heard wishing for “more white babies” – a sentiment she calls “white supremacist” and says she’s “disgusted” by. Now, I wasn’t there, so I didn’t hear what the demonstrator actually said. However, I have heard how some in the abortion industry respond to calls for fewer black babies.

Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion chain, ending over three hundred thousand young lives annually. Many are black and Latino, which isn’t surprising given that Planned Parenthood puts a disproportionate share of its abortion clinics close to minority neighborhoods.

You might think the group would worry about appearing to target children of color, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. In fact, when people offered to donate money so “a black baby” would get aborted, Planned Parenthood’s representatives were happy to help make it happen.

Planned Parenthood of Idaho’s Director of Development, Autumn Kersey, was contacted by a man who said he had “trouble with affirmative action” and figured “the less black kids out there the better.” Kersey called those feelings “understandable” and was “excited” about taking his money. Calls to other Planned Parenthood facilities yielded similar results.

This isn’t exactly a new approach at Planned Parenthood. Its founder, Margaret Sanger, wrote  about how she attended a Ku Klux Klan event and received “a dozen invitations to speak to similar groups.” She had earlier promoted “drastic immigration laws” as a means of “race betterment.”

That fits with what some of Planned Parenthood’s current defenders have to say. On the white supremacist site Erasing Us, you can read things like ‘Black Genocide,’ it’s proactive crime control.” You can also find comments like this:

Of course, Planned Parenthood’s most valuable supporters aren’t in hate groups–they’re on Capitol Hill. The organization receives over half a billion dollars in federal funding every year, despite a host of scandals. Those include committing fraud and helping sexual predators.

If Amanda Patton doesn’t like racism, then she should probably talk to her friends over at Planned Parenthood. Better yet, she can join Live Action in asking Congress to end Planned Parenthood’s subsidy and redirect that money to community health centers – places where people with limited means can find needed care. Because while Patton is correct in saying that plenty of “shameful,” and “cruel” things go on at abortion facilities, they tend to happen inside.
