Pro-life inspiration

No matter how dark the day, the sun will rise again.

No matter how dark the day, the sun will rise again.

Many times, the fight for the unborn can wear you down – the constant struggle, the disappointing politicians; the sadness at loss of life; and the treatment you receive at the hands of abortion activists, acquaintances, and even friends and family because of your beliefs. It is my hope that at those times, you can take inspiration and strength from the words of men and women who have stood beside you in this fight.  Remember that you are not alone, and that together we can end the abortion holocaust that is destroying our nation.

“When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property- to be disposed of as we see fit.” -Elizabeth Cady Stanton

“Sweeter even than the joy of caring for children of my own, has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so that their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them.” -Susan B. Anthony

“Lincoln realized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men (and women) can decide that others are not fit to live and therefore they should be abandoned to abortion.” -Ronald Reagan

“I dream … of a world where we can commit our social resources to the development of human life and not to its destruction.” -Benazir Bhutto

“We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other?” -Mother Teresa

“The morality of abortion is, it’s totally wrong.” -Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade)

“Nothing we do to defend the human person, no matter how small, is ever unfruitful or forgotten. Our actions touch other lives and move other hearts in ways we can never fully understand in this world. Don’t ever underestimate the beauty and power of the witness you give in your pro-life work.” -Archbishop Charles Chaput

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.” -Jeremiah 1:5

“A person’s a person, no matter how small.” -Dr. Seuss

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” -Elie Wiesel, Holocaust Survivor

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” -Proverbs 31:8

“The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government.” -Thomas Jefferson

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” -Jeremiah 29:11
