Pro-lifers must expose Planned Parenthood’s sordid past and present

Maybe you are like me and have been watching the horrific undercover videos on Planned Parenthood and asking yourself, “How much more does the public need to know to oppose this monstrosity?” Sadly, the answer to that question depends on who you are. If you’re part of the pro-life crowd, you don’t need one more piece of evidence to shut Planned Parenthood down permanently and prosecute them for crimes against humanity. But if you’re a die-hard abortion advocate it would appear that little will persuade you against this evil.

If, however, you are an average American relying on the news media for truth, you may not even know that there ever was an undercover sting.

Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger

Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger

As someone who has researched Planned Parenthood from its conception, I can say that one thing they have relied upon is the ignorance of the public. And, as a result, there are few storms this deceitful organization has not weathered well. In their early days, founder Margaret Sanger along with many of her board members openly advocated eugenics. Some argue that eugenics was simply the “culture in that day” but I contend that Sanger knew full well what she was pushing and who the targets were. The absolute horror of Sanger’s agenda has become even more apparent as research continues to unfold showing just how evil eugenics was. Victims of eugenic policies number in the thousands, as the so-called “feebleminded,” mostly Blacks, were targeted for forced sterilization.

Eugenics was the exact same philosophy that led Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany into its dark days of the Holocaust, horrifying the American public. At this time, Sanger and her board, who had organized as the American Birth Control League, began to discern that open promotion of eugenics may not be in the best interest of their overall agenda. This led to a change in the organization’s name from the American Birth Control League to Planned Parenthood, a much less sinister-sounding name.

But if eugenics did not scare the American public away, neither would the organization’s decision to start doing abortions. Sanger’s followers in her Planned Parenthood movement understood that forced sterilization eugenics programs were beginning to be opposed in the courts. Their agenda of limiting the births of the so-called “unfit” was threatened – unless, of course, they embraced abortion. For those asking, “Didn’t Planned Parenthood always do abortions?” the answer is no. It is a little known fact that Margaret Sanger herself did not advocate for abortion; in fact, she called abortion the killing of a “baby after it has begun.” But when Sanger’s more permanent eugenic sterilization solutions towards a “race of thoroughbreds” was opposed, the organization turned to abortion, and ironically, in a cunning PR move, they chose a Black chairman to introduce it. (But that is another story for another day which you can read in more detail here.)

The majority of the American public has little knowledge of Planned Parenthood’s beginning days, especially how founder Margaret Sanger was embraced by the Ku Klux Klan, even referring to the Klan as a “good group.” In her autobiography, Sanger detailed her encounters with the Klan, writing:

I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan… I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses… I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak… In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.

Planned Parenthood margaret sanger heroCan you imagine the American public or the media tolerating any other organization whose founder passed on her ideas to the Klan – even “honoring” politicians and so-called notables with an award named after said Klan speaker? Yet, this is what Planned Parenthood does year after year after year and the media is not only silent, but many of its members have been recipients of the award. If the media had one ounce of honesty they would grill Planned Parenthood on why they call the former Klan speaker a “hero” while handing out Margaret Sanger awards like candy.

And, if that wasn’t bad enough, abortion-loving politicians also give Planned Parenthood cover. At the top of that list would be 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who said she “admired Margaret Sanger” during her acceptance of the Margaret Sanger award.

Despite all the covering up of Planned Parenthood’s agenda and activities, the truth is leaking out through groups like the Center for Medical Progress. In addition, the excellent work of groups like Live Action and Life Dynamics, who have exposed Planned Parenthood’s racist agenda, is starting to have an impact as well.

Over the years, Planned Parenthood may have successfully woven its tentacles into the American culture, but its days of deceit are coming to an end. This tax dollar-guzzling abortion business may receive approval from politicians and the American media, but the American people are waking up to what Planned Parenthood is all about.

So, while pro-lifers may be growing weary of watching tape after tape after tape of these horrific Center for Medical Progress videos, we cannot allow the truth to go unnoticed. If the media refuses to call Planned Parenthood to task, we must take the truth to the American people ourselves and do it over and over and over again until it sinks in and crumbles this giant for good.
