Sarah Palin may have launched a book tour promoting Good Tidings and Great Joy this Christmas season, but more importantly, she is promoting what she calls, “the greatest joy” – children with special needs.

As she meets with ordinary Americans all across the heartland, Palin makes a point to connect with families who have children with special needs.

It has been five years since Palin promised those families on national television, “I pledge to you that…you have a friend, an advocate, in the White House.” Well, she may not be in the White House, but she has certainly reached out to families all across the country and continues to keep in touch – a rarity these days.

Palin met with Charlie and his family in 2009 during her “Going Rogue” book tour:

And again during Palin’s ongoing “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas” book tour December 6, 2013:

Yes, Palin is a rarity these days – one who embraces and fights for the real hope that the Christmas season offers. Following a recent speech at Liberty University’s Convocation to thousands, one of the students, Hal, asked Palin: “Who’s been your biggest inspiration?”

And after all that Palin has been through, as a hockey mom in Wasilla pursuing the first female Vice-Presidency of the United States of America, enduring relentless attacks from the left, right, and center, her answer may surprise you.

Palin candidly replied, “Today, my biggest inspiration’s been my youngest child, Trig, a five-year-old who was born with Down syndrome, born with challenges that are going to be greater than most of us will ever face.”

“Todd and I say all the time we wouldn’t change anything in our family, any of the situations for the world, because we get to see what God has shown us – what true perfection is, and that is this true perfection of our son. There’s the world’s standards of perfection, and then there’s God’s standards of perfection. And it’s His standards at the end of the day that really matter.”

“When we look at our son, we are inspired; we are motivated; we are more compassionate. We feel gifted and fortunate to have Trig in our lives. He is the most influential person in my family’s life today, and I thank God for our son, Trig,” Palin said, beaming with a proud smile.

Sarah Palin sincerely empowers average, everyday Americans, and in the same way, she fights for those who cannot fight for themselves. She stands up for the underdogs – not only pre-born children, but children who have already been born with greater challenges than most will ever experience. In fact, over 90 percent of children diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted before they are ever allowed to experience this world.

Sarah Palin knows the true reason for the season. It’s Trig and the many other children who face similar challenges that truly capture what is so special about this time of year – celebrating the miraculous birth of a babe in a manger, who overcame the world’s greatest challenge and brought good tidings and the greatest of all joys.

Heart of Gold? Sarah Palin`s attorney lies to have Shawn Christy prosecuted for Sarah. http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html Sarah Palin and her dad Chuck Heath lie about Shawn Christy in the news to ruin his life. http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/2013/04/sarah-palin-learns-how-to-lie-from-her.html Sarah Palin has tried to destroy Shawn Christy for five years now to cover up her involvement with him and why Sarah announced she was leaving office July 3, 2009, one hour after Shawn was cleared medically to testify against Sarah and the false police reports she put in about Shawn in 2009 saying he was running around Alaska when he was only 17 years old and never left Pennsylvania.http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/2013/04/sarah-palin-announces-resignation-july.html Beware Sarah appears as an angel of light but is a jezebel spirit.

Maybe your son and husband should’ve thought twice before they stalked and harassed someone. Then they wouldn’t be in trouble, would they? How is that Governor Sarah Palin’s fault? Would you blame a female friend or co-worker if they were raped?

      • Shawns Mom

Sarah starts trouble then cries she is the victim. I would only blame my co-worker if she was a whore and a slut. Does that definition fit Sarah Palin. My husband seemed to think so in 2011.

  • Ronnyraygun666

What utter claptrap. Palin hasn’t been seen with Trig for years. She carted him around half-naked on her first book tour at all hours of the night and day – in diapers and barefoot. She is rarely with him. She posts the odd photo on her FB page (I’m sure Bristol takes the pics), because Palin is too busy gallivanting around the lower 48 without her “son.”

    Refute that!

    • Andrew J. Corrales

Can you prove that with conclusive, strictly empirical evidence? Do you know her personally? If not, then may I recommend you not pass judgement?

      • Shawns Mom

I know Sarah has lied for the past five years to cover up her sins with my son Shawn Christy. She has also lied about my husband Craig and myself. Hate to break the news but Sarah is BIG GOVERMENT and uses those folks to go after her enemies.

        • MarcusFenix

As much as I don’t want to get too deep in this.

You’re saying she’s big government. Your friend above is saying she’s a celebrity. Which is it? Please, someone pick one.

          • Shawns Mom

            She`s both.

          • MarcusFenix

If you say so. Hard to take you objectively, after some of your other comments though.

        • Andrew J. Corrales

So you’re Karen Christy? Out of curiosity, are unproven allegations of a sexting relationship any good excuse to harass people, in your opinion?

          • PrincessJasmine4

Is it bad that I’ve never even heard of this incident till now?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Naw, I haven’t heard of this incident until now either, and I just researched it on Fox News a few minutes ago.

          • PrincessJasmine4

I just read about it on Huffpo of all places

What I don’t understand is where are these alleged sexts?
When Weiner was caught his texts were all over the news..
I haven’t been able to find even one for Palin.
I mean would Mahr and Bashir have been all over that?

Again.. I’m not a big fan of hers, but I don’t hate her either.. I’m just fascinated by this whole thing…

There has not been one aspect of Palin’s life and career that has not been chewed over, criticized and lied about the media.

Soon after Palin entered the national political scene as John McCain’s GOP running mate, she was attacked as a diva, a clothes hog, an irresponsible mother and a political mercenary. They dismissed what she achieved as mayor of her hometown, commissioner of the state’s oil and pipeline board and governor of America’s largest state.

The media decided that nothing was too personal to attack-including her marriage, her children, her faith, and her wardrobe.

The media distorted Palin’s positions and beliefs beyond recognition. And almost every word out of her mouth was spun as a “flub”.

The media hounded her, and her family, on a daily basis, flat out making crap up (like that she, personally, shot wolves from the air). They claimed her baby was not her own; used despicable language to attack her, and her family; sent numerous reporters to Wasilla to dig up dirt on her ; AP reporters “factchecked” her book; accused her of being an accomplice to murder, her email hacked by the son of a Democrat congressman, political operatives filing endless bogus ethic charges designed to bankrupt a working family with a special need toddler and much more.

The media even went through pages and pages of Palin Emails (24,000+ pages of emails from Palin’s term as governor), looking for damning information that could wipe Sarah Palin from America’s political scene.

What they found was the inner workings of an efficient, informed and very involved governor that mounted an unprecedented 80 plus approval rating while in office…..not exactly what the death squads of WaPo, the NYT, and other mainstream outlets had in mind.

The Palin Emails (24,000+ pages of emails) show that Sarah Palin conducted the business of her state in a transparent, bi-partisan, and responsible manner. She worked long, hard hours and treated everyone with respect.

There were no sex scandals, no lewd twitter photos, no misuse of taxpayer dollars, and no malicious behavior, whatsoever. Just a governor doing her job.

This scenario is in sharp contrast to the manner in which the media handled Barack Obama, whom it woefully failed to properly investigate in 2007-08.

Shawn Christy, 21, was convicted last year for harassing former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her attorneys was arrested Wednesday for violating terms of his parole.

Christy and his father had been sentenced to five years of probation in June after being found guilty of making threats against the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee.

I’ve heard it before…but not from any of the MSM, and never really saw any proof…big question mark, far as any of it is concerned.

          • http://www.IKnowbo.com/ Slam1263

I remember the creepy father/son act that went after Palin, I don’t remember a mom being mentioned.
IIRC it was an amateurish attempt to grab a little fame and/or money
I am sure his Dad will correct me if I am wrong.
And the LSM wouldn’t run anything that would mess with their narrative.

          • MarcusFenix

That’s really the thing that concerns me…the lack of coverage, especially by MSM, on the Palin sexting thing. As much as they slam conservatives and the like, you’d think this would be page one everywhere. Even HuffPo, when the reported about this Shawn kid, didn’t even run with that. Just very odd…you’d think they, of all publishing groups, would have gone after that with a vengeance.

The post I really wanted to hit on below was deleted…which is unfortunate, because it was ripe for the picking too.

Here’s all you need to know about Shawns Mom and her hatred for Sarah. The whole family is wacked out!

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Two Pennsylvania men accused of harassing Sarah Palin’s lawyers in Alaska by phone plan to forgo trial and again plead guilty, this time without the benefit of a plea agreement.

A federal judge in December rejected plea deals for Shawn Christy, 20, and his father, Craig Christy, and ordered them to stand trial in early January. In issuing the order, U.S. District Judge Timothy Burgess cited what he described as a disturbing pattern of threats. He said convictions would likely result in him requiring psychological evaluations by the U.S. Bureau of Prisons for the two before sentencing

The Christys are charged with making harassing telephone calls and face penalties including up to two years in prison and fines of up to $250,000. The rejected plea agreements would have let them avoid prison time and six-figure fines.

Craig Christy, 48, is set for a plea change hearing Friday in Anchorage.

His wife, Karen Christy, said Tuesday that her son indicated he intends to also plead guilty without a deal with prosecutors. She doesn’t know why the two decided to skip a trial by jury.

“In my opinion, I would rather do what needs to be done so we can get this over with,” she said. “And I don’t know if they would actually get a fair trial in Alaska.”

Shawn Christy filed a notice with the court in December saying he intends to plead guilty. A second notice was filed Tuesday saying he wishes to preserve his objection to the court’s denial of the plea agreement and that a motion for reconsideration will be filed Friday, when Christy had been set for trial.

The Christys were arrested in Pennsylvania in August and are in custody in Anchorage. Prosecutors say the men were upset about state restraining orders issued on behalf of the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, along with Palin family members and friends.

The restraining orders were issued after Palin left office.

The restraining order against Shawn Christy was imposed in 2010 after he was accused of stalking Palin. It was renewed last year after Palin testified that Shawn Christy appeared to be sending a clear signal when he made a one-day visit to Alaska on her February birthday. In her testimony, Palin also said she feared Christy’s parents because of their assertions that she had a sexting relationship in 2009 with their son when he was a teen.

The order against Craig Christy was issued last spring after he was accused of leaving multiple harassing telephone messages for Palin’s parents.

The state restraining orders against the men have been extended another six months.

The men later acknowledged making harassing phone calls from Pennsylvania to Palin’s attorney, John Tiemessen. Reached by phone in his Fairbanks office, Tiemessen declined to comment Tuesday.

In one obscenity-riddled message, Craig Christy threatened to kill Tiemessen, and in another message, Shawn Christy said he might have sex with Palin, according to an FBI affidavit. Shawn Christy also threatened to come to Alaska and rape one of the attorneys, the affidavit says.

Tiemessen’s offices in Anchorage and Fairbanks received hundreds of calls from the Christys in early August, including about 250 calls on one day, with some of the calls involving threats against Tiemessen and Palin, according to the document.

As governor, Palin actually did comb through the Alaskan budget line by line and powerfully wielded the veto pen. As Governor Sarah Palin didn’t just cut spending; she saved, reformed, and prioritized like a good fiscal manager. She invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding, paid down debt, invested $2.6 billion in an education fund for the future, and funded a Senior Benefits Program to provide support for low-income Alaskan seniors.

Standard & Poor’s raised Alaska’s credit rating from AA to AA+ in April 2008. Then in 2010, both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s upgraded Alaska to AAA for the first time in the state’s history due to policies enacted by Palin that made the state’s finances more than solvent.

And, unlike the Democrats who talk a big game about taking on Big Oil, Palin actually took on Big Oil with a tenacity that should make her Nancy Pelosi’s hero, releasing the stranglehold that those companies had on the oil resources and industry in her state.

She didn’t stand for corruption in the Alaskan government – her ethical stance, in fact, was a key factor in the popularity that allowed her to run for governor. As governor, Palin fought for and signed sweeping bipartisan ethics legislation, which restricted lobbyists, improved disclosure laws, and improved executive and legislative branch ethics laws. In the face of corruption, she continued to take on her own party when it was necessary.

Palin has done nothing for DS children except pose with them for a photo op. Ask the DS societies – they were sorely disappointed with her.

Ronny, McCain and Palin lost the election and she didn’t the chance to be in the White House, so she didn’t get the chance to do much for disabled kids. Also in her book she explained that she was constantly being sued by the haters. She was spending a lot of time on these senseless lawsuits. She decided to take a break from it for a bit and only commit to what she wanted to commit to. She is allowed. She doesn’t owe anyone anything. She also doesn’t need more people invading in her private life anymore than what she is willing to share.

          • Janice Vowell

RRG666 – you are too obvious in your taunting! You’re pathetic!! See my post responding to you if you want to know what she has done. Not that you care anyway — again, I will ask the question “Do YOU have any children with special needs”? If not, you don’t have a right to ask what she has done because you wouldn’t have a clue!

          • Vi

What has she done? She’s shown that she cares about these children, that they aren’t the scum of the earth. she’s shown that they’re worth visiting and meeting, not worth just “mercy killing” as many people seemed to think on the 5 million article. she is showing that they are HUMAN. money doesn’t solve everything. she is using her fame to bring these children into the spotlight. and the more you criticize her and spam about her, the more popular she gets, and the more strongly her supporters will advocate for her. so thanks; in a strange way, you too have brought attention to these children.
PS. I know you will have some vengeful comment to say back, about how I’m wrong, you’re right, and Sarah Palin is a horrible human. I’m going to save you the time and energy and say I really don’t care, and you’re probably not going to change my opinion on an online forum. I’m going to go spread peace and love, not foster hatred and anger. Because the thing is, spending time hating her, whatever your reasoning be, only hurts you.
            Peace.

I’m going to quit volunteering at the soup kitchen and stop giving away my old winter coats. Because it’s not about what you do, it’s about how much you give. And if you can’t give millions, you don’t matter. That will help the needy a lot!

      • Spooky

Sarah Palin is one of a very few “celebrities” who has a child with special needs and she isn’t afraid to let the world see that. Life with a child with special needs isn’t always unicorns and rainbows, but damn, it’s an amazing life that you had no idea you wanted until it was given to you. So while she doesn’t post about Trig’s progress or milestones, she’s at least not pretending he doesn’t exist. I’d like to know how he’s progressing too, as I have a two year old with Down syndrome. Maybe they don’t want the media all over Trig and have them pouring over what milestones he has or hasn’t met, what he is behind in, what he “should” be doing if he were neurotypical. I certainly wouldn’t want that for my family. It’s hard enough for ME to not compare my son to children his age and see where he’s delayed and what he “should” be doing as a 2 year old. But maybe she just thinks it’s none of your damn business. She’s obviously very proud of her boy and that speaks volumes to me.

        • Kathy Kohn

wow spooky you hit the nail on the head there did,nt you:) i could,nt agree more. my little boy is 5 and your right it is,nt all unicorns and rainbows its more like o.k where did he run off to? oh no the toilet just flushed i wonder what he flushed down it today? it oh my god he just got sick all over the place please please GOD don,t let anything really bad be wrong please watch over him/her where as with a child that does not have d.s you don,t worry as much. but its that little monkey smile you get in the morning when they crawl into bed with you and wrap their little arms around your neck and they hug you as tight as they can:) and when you,ve been gone for no more then 5 mins when they see you they come running up and hugs your legs and says hi. that makes it all worth it in the end. and they see people for who they really are. and they are as close to GOD as he wanted all of us to be.

        • DianaG2

Or maybe she’s just too darn busy??

But, that doesn’t mean she’s lining her pockets? I don’t understand that.

      • Russ JD

Sarah Palin raised her own down syndrome child.
She doesn’t have to “do anything”.
        She’s done enough already…

        (Geez… Ronnyraygun666 your some kind of special stupid… )

        http://www.rottenecards.com/ecards/rottenecard_4816076_mks93n823g.png

      • Raejean

Why don’t you first explain why you think she is obliged to do anything beyond raising her son, or how you’ve concluded she is 1) a “faux Christian,” or 2) abusing anyone. I’m not even a special fan of hers, and to me it sounds you are just desperately seeking ways and reasons to justify hating her.

      • Karen (Gitchee)

Just because she doesn’t do everything in front of the camera or announce it on the radio, doesn’t mean she isn’t working with charities and the troops etc. Are you so used to Obama showboating his every word and action that you cannot believe that there are people who do things because they really care?

      • Mark Borofsky

Well, that fact that she is bringing to light the needs of these children and people is one thing. That she is a spokesperson for them another. That she ha spoken out against aborting these children is pretty much a contribution. As for Trigs milestones, really what business is that of ours. The fact that he is healthy, loving and smiling is good enough for me; it makes him even more precious in my opinion. Finally, this comment about f aux Christian was unfounded, unsubstantiated and was nothing more than a drive by slam. F aux Christians are those who claim to be Christians but have no issue with abortion, or homosexual marriage, and on and on and on. Obviously you do not care for her so you slam her.

      • Andrew J. Corrales

If she’s not making public what all wonderful stuff she’s done, then she’s obeying Jesus. In the sermon on the mount, he told us to not be showy when doing good deeds.

      • section9

You weren’t looking when she posted about she and Todd were taking Trig to school for his first day, then.
Jeebus, the rage you on the Left feel towards Sarah Palin won’t stop your world from coming apart at the seams as more and more registered voters find out what a failure and a fraud this President and his Obamacare folly were all along. Ask not for whom the bell tolls, my hating liberal troll: it tolls for thee!

        • Caribou “PAYCUT” Barbie™

          What about Benghazi?
Your hatred shows who and what you are.
You want a One Party Nation. A CONSERVATIVE NATION only.

          Sorry, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Benghazi is the worst thing you could have brought up for your cause. It reflects badly on Obama and Hillary.

          • Jill

You speak of hatred whilst using a rather obsessive, unhinged moniker for the occasion and fail to see the irony-no doubt about it.

      • Jackrabbit

Why SHOULD she post his milestones? He’s ALIVE and LOVED. That’s all we need to know.

        • DianaG2

Also, she knows that some very sick people will just ridicule her and her family.

      • Sophia9

For one, and the most important “one”, she did NOT have an abortion when she learned the was pregnant with a DS child. That my friend is a TRUE Christian; nothing “faux” about it.

      • Jill

How, pray tell, is she abusing children with Down Syndrome?
Have you not noted the numerous messages, sent via Facebook, that keep those interested abreast with his milestones such as his first day of school? Is she under obligation to inform you of the minutia of her life? As for what she has done for children with Down Syndrome, she has shown that they are worthy of love and admiration. Given the astronomically high rate of DS abortions, I’d say that is rather extraordinary and prescient.

      • DianaG2

How is she lining her pockets?

      • Janice Vowell

She brought DS in the spotlight and was not ashamed to take him in public while campaigning. You, of course, would not understand what she is talking about because you don’t have a child with special needs — I do and I CAN relate to her statements!! How dare you call her a “faux” Christian. Why would she post such personal things as “milestones and progress”. This is a child that needs protected — we’ve seen the attacks on her!!! There is such a thing as “privacy” and this child is entitled to his as is she. Let’s face it RRG666 – you dislike her and are using this to spew criticism. How dare you use this topic to spew your disdain!

    • Shawns Mom

Sarah has never done anything for DS children. In fact she has never been there for her own children. Sarah has hidden the fact her second daughter Willow suffers from autism. This cover up started early in Sarah`s political career as not to effect the All American Perfect Christian Family. Sarah`s view of Willow, as it is with Trig is that their problems are a curse from God. Sarah has spent thousands of dollars in speech therapy trying to hide Willow`s autism. But it is a lot harder to cover up Trig`s disability than Willow`s. This has led to resentment in Willow towards her mom Sarah and criminal behavior on the part of Willow. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/03/31/852922/-Going-Vandal-by-Willow-Palin# And more of Willow`s crimes. http://www.tmz.com/2011/05/14/willow-palin-speeding-ticket-sarah-palin-todd-bristol-alaska-governor-president-campaign-running-tea-party/ And more of Willow`s crimes. http://wonkette.com/430772/willow-palin-buys-drugs-in-target-parking-lot And even more of Willow`s crimes. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/16/willow-palin-facebook-posts_n_784585.html Pray for Willow, Trig and all the kids that Sarah goes to jail and is no longer an influence in their lives. http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/2013/03/who-is-real-victim-shawn-christy-or.html

      • YOUR DUMB

WAAAY TO GO! Site your sources off of gossip sites. I’m totally convinced now! Oh wait I have a brain and realize that most of this shit is CRAP. Your an idiot if you think the National Inquirer is a legit source for news. You are the problem with america. Site credible sources MORON …..

        • Shawns Mom

You can check Alaskan Court View. You must be one of Sarah`s supporters. You only prove that those who follow Sarah are from the tree which produces bad fruit. Accept the truth. At least you don`t deny Willow has autism. Please don`t attack me for we have had hundreds of death threats from Palin supporters. Judge a tree by its fruit, that’s what Jesus says. Your in our prayers.

      • http://www.BR-549.com Junior Samples

Daily Kos, HuffandBlo, Wonkette and TMZ? Did you forget Andrew Sullivan and Perez Hilton and almost every other catty homosexual and metrosexual blog in existence?

        • Shawns Mom

Why do you abuse homosexuals? Jesus would never do that. I thought Sarah was a Christian fighting to save Christmas. Did you know Sarah`s attorney John Tiemessen likes men more than he should. And Sarah`s protective orders were issued by AK State Judge Jonathon Lack, an openly gay man with the Victory Institute, which supports LGBT`s in government. You sound like Willow with your homophobic rant. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/16/willow-palin-facebook-posts_n_784585.html

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Junior Samples is merely pointing out that you’re not getting your stuff from reliable, unbiased sources.

          • Shawns Mom

Those news sources got their info from the Alaskan Court View site. Reliable. Check it yourself, easy to use.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

They can get their information from wherever they want, they’re still biased and therefore unreliable.

          • Shawns Mom

Some will have the spirit of stupor. Study God`s word. Good luck.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Your point being what, exactly? You haven’t addressed my accusation that you’re sources are biased. Are you conceding that?

          • Shawns Mom

To Sarah Palin? THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Then prove that you’re sources aren’t biased. What you just said tells me you’re more emotionally invested in the subject than intellectually so.

          • Big_Iron

Another follower of the “truth squad” who also said that Obamacare was good for you.

          • Shawns Mom

Base your decision on the MSM that Sarah hates. If they start to like Sarah, then what?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            They won’t, Sarah’s Republican.

          • Shawns Mom
          • Andrew J. Corrales

She’s still Republican. The MSM hates Republicans.

          • Caribou “PAYCUT” Barbie™

But what of teh FOX NEWS?

          • Mark

And you hate everything about Christians. Your day is coming. Jesus will be the ONLY judge for you.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Eh, I don’t think she hates too much about Christians. She at least pretends to be one.

          • Shawns Mom

Another deceived Sarah follower. What a cult Palin has going. Remember you will be judged as you judge. Guess you don`t read your Bible much. Try it!

          • Andrew J. Corrales

The comment I made you just commented on? I was talking about you. You do not hate too much about Christians in that you’re at least pretending to be one, if not already one. And I’m not particularly fanatical about Palin.

          • Mark

Remember the passage ‘judge not lest you be judged’? You’re really pushing it. Feel bad for you.

          • Shawns Mom

Thanks. Guess you ain`t got no eyes to see or ears to hear. Feel bad for you and the money you will never get back from SarahPAC.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

So every person who disagrees with you about Palin must love Palin a whole lot? And can you prove that Spooky’s wrong and you’re not passing judgement on someone you barely know?

          • Shawns Mom

Like Jesus said, To some the Father will say I never knew you. That is what will be said to Sarah. I just do not like money making pedophiles antichrist like Sarah. Sarah uses Trig like a prop and Father God is watching.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Can you prove that? And didn’t the passage in the Bible say that He would say that to teachers who bragged about performing miracles and exorcising demons in Jesus’ name?

          • Shawns Mom

Read about what Jesus did with the money changers in his Fathers Temple. WWJD with Sarah?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

How is that relevant? Sarah’s not making a profit from selling people sacrifices.

          • Shawns Mom

What would you say Sarah is doing with the war vets. Didn`t they make sacrifices?

          • Mark

Stop! You’re killin’ me!! Too funny! Your dentist just called. A full set of teeth are waiting for you at his office. No charge!

          • Mark

Sorry Andrew, meant for Shawn’s low intelligence mom.

          • Shawns Mom

You gun toten Palin fans are always name calling and threatening but never carry any of your whining out. What a bunch of cowards. Just like Sarah, all talk then runs to the law to get protective orders. Some grizzly mama! LMAO

          • Shawns Mom

Sarah`s scared of Shawn Christy and family. Sarah`s scared of Bashir taking a dump in her mouth. I bet Sarah would take it from the other end.LMAO!!!

          • Mark

Now she’s a pedophile?? Any PROOF for that absurd statement? If you had credibility (you didn’t) it’s long gone.

          • Shawns Mom
          • Mark

THAT is you proof??!!! You’re a whack-job lady. I’m done with your stupidity. Surprised you can even read this.

          • Shawns Mom

My family will pray for you for it seems much like Sarah`s children and Sarah herself, you have been abused.

      • U NANNY MOUSE

ROFLMAO!! Liberal satirical sites?! Really, that all you got? I have been sooo WRONG! LMAO! The only thing I’m convinced of if that you are a liberal moron!!

        • Shawns Mom

News sources get info from court documents. Check AK Court View. Willow threw a party in a vacant house that cost $30K in damages. Facts don`t lie. All your name calling and vile remarks do not change the truth. Try proving me wrong.

          • PrincessJasmine4
          • Shawns Mom

But from such a perfect Christian mom like Sarah Palin? Why didn`t Sarah send her kids to private school or Christian Academy? How can Sarah claim to be such a great leader but cannot raise her kids? Maybe Sarah should worry more about being a Christian mom first. Sarah is just another fraud.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

We just heard about raising kids right from the mother of a boy who, with his dad, harassed a public figure over unproven allegations of said public figure sexting said son. Now we’ll hear from Charlie Sheen on drugs, profanity, and how to treat women.

          • Shawns Mom

Such public figure announced she was leaving office one hour after Shawn Christy`s US Secret Service Requested Psych Evaluation by Dr. Virginia Sherr. Shawn could testify against Sarah. This was on July 3, 2009. DOCUMENTED. http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/2013/04/sarah-palin-announces-resignation-july.html Now you know why Sarah Palin cannot have Shawn charged. She is SCARED to even speak publicly about Shawn.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Didn’t the unproven sexting allegations and stalking harassing start in August 2011, more than two (2) years later? I also noticed you haven’t addressed the main idea of my comment.

          • Shawns Mom

No, this all started in 2009 when Sarah was governor. Sarah`s MSM propaganda campaign wants all of you to believe it started in 2011. Then you won`t ask why Sarah did not have Shawn arrested when she was governor.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Can you prove that? A boy isn’t going to tell his mother about sexting. And the MSM hates Republicans, so why would they cover it up for Sarah for two years? And what difference would it have made if Shawn was arrested when she was governor? And since when do governors and ex-governors have people arrested? Arrest warrants come from judges.

          • Shawns Mom

Criminal reports are taken by law enforcement from citizens including sitting governors. Sarah had the power to have the AK Attorney General bring charges. But she didn`t. Read the documents for yourself at this link. http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/2013/04/sarah-palin-announces-resignation-july.html

          • Andrew J. Corrales

If she had pressed charges while she was governor, you would be complaining about her using her position for personal gain and/or her silencing people who oppose her. As it is she waited a couple years and you’re complaining about her caring only about looking good. Saying she could have brought charges against your son but didn’t sounds like you’re complimenting or praising her.

      • PrincessJasmine4

Ok, just so you know, I’m not a Palin supporter but I don’t hate her either..
I’m really a fence sitter when it comes to her..
        However…

The links which you’ve listed as her crimes are
        a speeding ticket
        Some name calling
        buying drugs
        and chugging vodka..

Sorry, but that just sounds like any average public school attendee.

I didn’t know she had autism though..
Why is that even an issue?

        • Shawns Mom

As a homeschooling mother I would even have to say that although I do not support Public Schools, this is not the average attendees behavior, unless you believe the Hollywood movies. As Willow`s autism being an issue, Sarah has Trig with DS and does nothing $$$ for DS children. At least Sarah came out about Trig. Sarah is too busy hiding the truth about Willow`s autism to even help autistic children. That`s not an issue. Please.

          • PrincessJasmine4

Do you have evidence that she’s hiding it?
That would be awful indeed… perhaps enough to push me over to the other side of the fence.

Oh.. it’s average behavior out here… my parents live near a public high school… yikes!

I’m glad I was in private and my kids are in private

I commend you on the homeschooling though
            It’s not easy.
I’ve got friends who do it… it’s very difficult.

          • Shawns Mom

God bless you for taking good care of your kids. That is why I spend every waking hour defending my son and exposing what Sarah did to him when he was only 17 years old and used her BIG GOVERMENT friends to try and set my son up to cover up her crimes. The Palins are not who they pretend to be, a wonderful Christian family. Many in Alaska know this to be true, but here in the lower 48 we only see the made up Palin image. I have dealt with these folks on a personal level and what you see is not what you get. Sarah Palin is the perfect example of the deception the Bible speaks about in the Last Days. Visit my blog to learn more.http://shawnchristypoliticalprisoner.blogspot.com/ I can back up what I say.

It’s “you’re”, go read a book. Basic grammar will do.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

After your comment on old white men and Princess “Sparklebutt” below, you have little to no room to talk.

          • jcinco

My comments are spelled correctly and grammatically correct.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

So? They’re not frequently mature enough to be taken seriously.

          • jcinco

But yours, which consist of drooling over some incoherent shyster are?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

I personally am not a huge Palin fan. And drooling is disgusting. And Palin is only incoherent if you’re already biased against her.

          • jcinco

“is only incoherent if you’re already biased against her”, lol, really?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Yeah, that’s how hearing and agreeing and disagreeing work. If you agree or at least respect a person’s views, it makes perfect sense. If you disagree, it makes no sense and you’ll probably even misquote it.

          • Shawns Mom

Palin`s an American Quitter at best. Nobody is biased, Sarah is just plain Un-American.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Can you prove that with conclusive, objective, strictly empirical evidence, or is that sentence there raw bias in and of itself?

          • Shawns Mom

Facts are facts, check the news.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

The news doesn’t get everything right, and is frequently neither conclusive, objective, nor strictly empirical.

The Main Stream Media Sarah hates are the ones protecting her and her husband Todd, who not only had a prostitute but also pimped her out. Point being she’s not coherent.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

She is if you give her the benefit of the doubt and write off any incoherence as stage fright or similar.

        • Shawns Mom

Thank you. You just help to keep proving that Sarah supporters are pseudo Christians at best.

      • Big_Iron

I believe every word from those truly non biased sites. They are so always true and never make an untrue statement. I also believe in the toot fairy, oops tooth gay person (PC), unicorns, and albino polar bears.

        • Shawns Mom

Those news sources get the info from The Alaskan Court View site. Reliable. Check it yourself. Can you use Goggle? What`s hard to believe is that people think Palin will someday be President. Too Much dirt in her closet. LMAO!

    • DianaG2

      LOL, true.

One moronic pundit actually had the lack of vocabulary to say, “She looks like a porn star.”

I guess that’s their way of saying, “She’s beautiful?”

Because she is, no matter whether you agree with her or not.

Whereas a liberal, advocating for one of their favorite liberal causes (assisted suicide?) — her looks wouldn’t be an issue.

    • Drudger

I especially admire her anti intellectualism, misunderstanding of science, ignorance of geography, hypocrisy, lack of knowledge of world politics and most of all her inability to finish her term as governor. Yep she is one likable human.

    • Carol Smith

It’s her ignorance that people fear.

      • Mary Lee

Yeah, okay. We could say the same about those who hate her.

        • Carol Smith

One of the most typical comments by a Palin supporter is to call anyone who does not support her a moron.

          • Mary Lee

I never called anyone a moron. Get a life, Carol.

  • MarcusFenix

    I’m really torn here.

On the one hand, I’m not a huge Palin fan.

On the other…there’s just….wow. Hard to know where to start with all of the mess.

    Decisions, decisions.

    • PrincessJasmine4

      Quite agreed…
I don’t hate her, but I also don’t love her..
      Sort of in-between…
      We’ll see… I suppose

      • Ronnyraygun666

The problem is that she talks the talk, but she most definitely does not walk the walk.

        • PrincessJasmine4

          hmmmm

          Fair enough..
But.. do you think that she’s obligated to do anything for DS society?
I don’t know if she has or hasn’t… I’m not up and up on the Palin news… well except the stuff that makes headlines…

          • Ronnyraygun666

She is not a politician – she quit that job, she imagines herself as a celebrity. Clooney, Jolie and Penn are a few examples of celebrities who get out there and actually do stuff. You may not like them or their liberal leanings, but they do walk the walk. They put their money and their time into their charities. I think Palin donated $1,000 to a DS charity back in ’08/09 having told the world in 2008 that special needs children would have an advocate in her. She forgot all about that when McCain lost the election.

          • PrincessJasmine4

            I’m not convinced she’s a celebrity.
I mean why would she be?
I also don’t know if she makes as much as Clooney, Jolie or Penn (I actually think Jolie is awesome and I love her)

          • Ronnyraygun666

            Me too!

The nicest thing about mentioning her name in a crowd, is that it exposes the crazies, of all ideologies.

      • MarcusFenix

That’s the thing. I see the arguments below…and there’s one that’s just….glaring at me. But I’m not 100% about getting into the ring on this one, because I’m not sure it’s worth the argument. I’m just holding off in reserve for the moment…but I might yet jump in. Just want to see how this all goes, for now.

        • http://www.IKnowbo.com/ Slam1263

As I have said before, you tend to be reasonable.
I am highly opinionated, and will bull bait to satisfy my own curiosity about others.
But I am in a 12 step reality program.

          • MarcusFenix

Tend to, anyway. Certainly give it a good shot.

I think some of those who comment here need to be a 12 step program, but not the same one you’re in. ;)

      • jcinco

yea, all you fat old white guys will be shoving your hands down your pants at the mention of princess sparkleburst.

        • Andrew J. Corrales

Oh gosh. You have just overwhelmed me with your intellectual abilities. Not really, that was sarcasm.

          • MarcusFenix

of course, he’s not a hypocrite about this either..oh wait…

“That’s how I feel every time I hear the disgusting sexual innuendos that come out of palin’s mouth regarding the president.”

I guess not. You can’t cure stupid, Andrew. Don’t even try.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Actually, that’s my main motivation. Stop holding me back from my dreams, Marcus! Just kidding. :)

          • MarcusFenix

Well, then…soldier on, friend. You’ve got quite the road ahead of you.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            No lie.

        • http://www.IKnowbo.com/ Slam1263

          Case in point.
J5, how do you feel about Phrenology?

          • jcinco

That it’s a racist sham, how do you feel about it?

          • http://www.IKnowbo.com/ Slam1263

Well, I wouldn’t call everything the Vienna School thought up as racist, but sham covers it.

  • Sally Platt

I think it’s wonderful that Live Action has covered this story. Palin’s dedication to supporting special needs kids is truly heart warming to see.

    • Ronnyraygun666

Please enlighten me. What dedication has Palin shown to special needs kids? This article is all about hawking her book which is crashing on Amazon.

      • Anton

Did you even read the article, you ignorant little person?

        • Guest

No, the Palin haters are not interested in facts; they only want to trash Sarah Palin and spread gossip stories about her.

      • http://www.BR-549.com Junior Samples

Number nine on the New York Times best seller list is “crashing” in your world? Please let a book that I’ve written “crash” then!

lol, link. please. Quit makin’ stuff up, as simple sarah would say.

          Amazon Best Sellers Rank:

          #872 in Books

          • http://www.IKnowbo.com/ Slam1263

            Nice catch!
I see ‘Dreams From My Father is at #327,249.
Audacity of Hope is above 22,000 though.

          • jcinco

Go look up how long each of those books have been out, then get back to us, k?

          • Ronnyraygun666

I think the PAC bought a few last week because it suddenly went back up to #400 or so. Did you read the 5 star reviews – most are taking the piss. It was a bitter book filled with hatred of the “other.”

Stick a fork in it, it’s done.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

With all the comments from you I’ve read on this page alone, you have no room to talk about bitterness and hatred of the “other.”

          • Guest

You base your opinion of Sarah Palin on gossip stories, not facts. You have strong PDS.

          • http://www.BR-549.com Junior Samples

            A) Amazon is only one marketplace for books, the New York Times best seller list measures ALL book sales, not just those on one site and (B) #872 on Amazon is phenomenal! Amazon has about FOUR MILLION ranks for books at any one time, which means that Governor Palin’s book outranks about 3,999,128 other books. Translation: She is printing money. Please tell us about all the books you’ve written and where they’ve ranked at Amazon or on the NYT best seller list. Thanks!

      • jcinco

We’re outnumbered, pal. But soon they will head out to send money boo boo their lunch money so her lay about family can continue to live off her grift.

        • Ronnyraygun666

I don’t think they understand exactly why the NYT’s list means squat!

          • Big_Iron

The next time Hilbilly has a book at #1, I’ll remember that the NYT ‘s list is doodly squat. If you are going to try and sound Southern, get the vernacular right DH.

          • Ronnyraygun666

I’m southern Europe and diddly squat it the way to say it. Either way, she knows duddly squat!

          • Andrew J. Corrales

If you’re trying to insult her without proper grammar, you say “She don’t know diddly squat.” If she knows diddly squat then she knows something.

          • jcinco

I really don’t think you should be the one preaching about “proper grammar”.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            Why’s that?

          • jcinco

Plenty of folks who don’t live in “deliverance country” say “don’t know squat”.

  • UnhyphenatedAmericanVet

maybe one day I will see the haters that show up for these posts simply post, what and how, They did more for the least among us. By showing how they themselves have made a difference in someone else’s life and then we can compare how you all stack up to her… yeah you know who I’m talking to, just read the troll posts below my post.

    • jcinco

Name one charitiable event she’s done. She charges everyone for her speeches and shakes down you gullibillies under the premise she’s running for office. PT Barnum had you guys pegged a long time ago.

      • Andrew J. Corrales

        They all do that.

        • jcinco

Bee Ess, not when they declare how they’re doing something for charity.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

They all pretend to be doing it for charity or charitable purposes, too.

            Especially our fabuloso Jane Fonda.

      • Mona

Fun fact! I just met her and got my book signed at the mall of America *for free* after she delivered a speech. So please don’t say she always charges for her speeches! you’re entitled to your opinion so long as your facts are accurate!

  • Cathy Farr Fothergill

Wow! After reading some of these comments, I feel like a need a shower!

    • jcinco

why don’t you? That’s how I feel every time I hear the disgusting sexual innuendos that come out of palin’s mouth regarding the president.

      • Andrew J. Corrales

        Such as…?

        • jcinco

limp, cojones when speaking of the potus…she’s a pig.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

How are any of the above sexual?

          • jcinco

what planet do you live on?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Planet Earth, occasionally known as Planet Let’s Not Stereotype, Pass Judgement, Carry Things To Extremes, Or Look For Innuendo Where It May Not Really Exist.

          • jcinco

It exists, she’s obsessed with the president, it’s rather pathetic as he’s not interested in her.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Can you prove it? You don’t know her personally.

          • jcinco

I suppose you do. Actually you probably do as it’s common knowledge she has staff & family peruse comments on the internet about her and post in her defense. She used to pay to have folks write “glowing” letters about her under numerous names to the editors of local papers. Just as she buys lists of facebook fans

          • Andrew J. Corrales

No, I do not personally know her, therefore, I do not pass judgement.

          • jcinco

how holier than thou of you.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Well, yeah, but calm down, I actually have room to talk here. And you are being exactly as holier-than-thou as I am in that you’re passing judgement on Palin before getting to know her personally and complaining about other people being holier-than-thou. Palin may not be a great politician, but does that warrant attacking her person without firsthand experience?

          • jcinco

She’s made her life and that of her family public in her quest of money. She’s like the kardashians, you can’t put yourself out there to get your name on tv and in the news and then demand folks to butt out.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Making her life public is a lot more open and honest and trustworthy than Obama’s habit of sealing and/or faking all his documents that would prove birthers wrong. The fact that she’s opening herself up to being examined on a personal level earns her points with me (don’t worry, I’m still not much of a fan of her).

          • Guest

Sarah Palin has been attacked and scrutinized like no one else; she’s probably the “cleanest” politician out there.

          • Ronnyraygun666

Really…that woman revels in depicting men as sexual deviants. She told Chris Christie that he had his panties in a wad, and she accused Joe McGinniss of being a pedophile. She has a filthy unchristian mouth on her.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

“Panties in a wad” and “pedophile” aren’t Sarah being perverted. They’re Sarah speaking her mind about people she doesn’t agree with. “Having panties in a wad” means “neurotic or emotionally reactive,” and pedophile means “sexually attracted to people a lot younger than oneself.” Can you prove her wrong?

Also, the guy with the number 666 in his Disqus name doesn’t have a lot of room to talk about “unchristian” anything.

          • alaskan1st

Ever think about how many times 666 could have nothing to do with Satan. I always laugh at the 666, Satan thing. That was my address when I grew up. 666 E Locust street. And my dad bought it from a minister.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            Read Revelation 13.

          • Ronnyraygun666

            Impotent was another one.

      • Cathy Farr Fothergill

You can’t back your statement with any facts. Period.

        • jcinco

I just did, gullibilly, now run along and send sarah more money so she can fly around in private jets, k?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Hey, Barack Obama does the same thing.

          • jcinco

He’s the president, 1/2 wit. Google Air Force one, you maroon.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

So? He did that before he was President. If you’re going to hate Palin for it, then at least acknowledge the other side just as guilty.

          • Ronnyraygun666

Well why weren’t you complaining about it with Bush?

          • Ronnyraygun666

He was one of the good ole boys who sank Amerika!!!! But he was pale.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Actually, the President can’t do any more than Congress and the Court lets him. The recession didn’t start until Bush’s term was almost over, and was not provably Bush’s fault.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

I don’t oppose flying around in jets.

          • jcinco

Two replies to my comment from you, sparky? The shoe must fit.

          • Big_Iron

Hey, I want that job.! I would love to go on million dollar vacations every other month.

          • jcinco

go write every past president about it then.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            Your point being…?

          • jcinco

Every president in my life time has flown around in the presidential plane, it’s a matter of security. Just because this president is a half black man you don’t care for doesn’t mean he doesn’t receive the same security and privileges those before him have had.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

The race card? You’re funny. That card’s getting doggy-eared. Unless you can prove it, don’t say it.

          • Cathy Farr Fothergill

As far as sending Mrs. Palin money…never have and probably never will. To document something you must cite where you found or heard it. You just saying it isn’t documentation. As far as gullibility goes…..you’ve obviously been drinking the koolaid. Who’s gullible?

      • Big_Iron

        Two words: Martin Bashir.

        • jcinco

go read his comment in context.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

How about Anthony Weiner and William Jefferson Clinton?

          • jcinco

            We’re talking about palin.

          • Ronnyraygun666

They are masters at shifting the goalposts.

What has Palin done for DS children? Nada.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Simply pointing out that Left politicians do it also, none have any right to judge, assuming Palin is provably guilty.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Address the argument: Democrats are just as guilty.

          • jcinco

Try to stay on topic, sluggo.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Just saying that if you’re going to complain about Palin sexting (if you can prove it), then you, by implication, admit that Clinton and Weiner are equally wrong.

        • Ronnyraygun666

He resigned and Palin quit. We’re waiting for Megyn Kelly to follow suit.

          • alaskan1st

Megyn, santa is white and so is jesus, Kelly?

  • Anton

Great woman, America owes her an apology for how she has been treated

    • jcinco

No, she owes her gullible fans an apology for how she’s shaken them down for their hard earned money with her lying schemes. She also owes the country an apology for her divisive, seditious comments. She also owes the president of this country an apology for the hateful, disrespectful snipes she has thrown his way since she entered the scene. She needs to go home and clean her own house, maybe get one of those dead beat kids to get a job or actually take one college course.

      • Andrew J. Corrales

I’ll tell you like I told Ronnyraygun666–you don’t know her personally, so stop passing judgement.

          • jcinco

            No, :)

          • MarcusFenix

That’s ok. You still got called on your own textual feces, and i’m still getting a nice chuckle out of it. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad.

          • jcinco

run along to the little boys’ room with your sarah calendar.

          • MarcusFenix

Apparently, you didn’t actually read the thread, where I said I wasn’t a Palin supporter. It’s good to actually know what you’re talking about before you open your mouth…a problem I’d guess you have frequently, along with erectile dysfunction perhaps?

Now please, take your preoccupation with little boys and much older women somewhere else, hypocrite. :)

        • Ronnyraygun666

Do you? I know people whose lives she has ruined in Alaska. That is personal enough for me.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Do any of them know her personally? Passing judgement on her as a politician makes sense, but passing it on her as a person?

          • alaskan1st

Easy to do. She put herself front page and showed us all what a hypocrite she is. Her family values totally failed and her kids show it.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            Can you prove that?

          • alaskan1st

Many stories of her meanness come from this state. Wasilla is even disgusted with her. She is not liked by the vast majority of us. Most people roll their eyes when you ask about her. Personally, I think she is great. As a comedy act. Word salad is funny as all get up.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Personally, I think it’s only a word salad if you’re biased against it before you read/listen to it.

          • Ronnyraygun666

You obviously don’t have an education. What the hell is this supposed to mean…

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion
helping middle-class families, who are struggling with healthcare,
housing, gas and groceries, allow them to spend more and put more money
into the economy instead of helping these big financial institutions
that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: That’s why I say, I, like every American I’m speaking with,
we’re ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the
tax payers looking to bail out, but ultimately, what the bailout does is
help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed
to help shore up our economy, helping tho— it’s got to be all about job
creation too, shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right
track, so healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending
has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And
trade, we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as— competitive— scary
thing, but one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today,
we’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under
the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

She’s simply defending Bush’s bailout. Try to understand what she’s saying and acknowledging her good points before calling everything she says a “word salad.”

          • Ronnyraygun666

            :) Are you for real?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            You’re the biased one.

          • alaskan1st

But it is WORD SALAD…………. She actually thinks this way. Imagine how hard that must be.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

            Have you tried understanding it?

          • Guest

What the hell is this supposed to mean…

“The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system.” — Obama in remarks after a health care roundtable with physicians, nurses and health care providers, Washington, D.C., July 20, 2009

          • jcinco

stop saying that, it makes you look foolish.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

It only makes me look foolish if I’m wrong, and nobody has successfully proven that.

          • alaskan1st

Google Sarah Plain word salad and come back and tell me what she said. It’s almost always word salad. Her sentences are disjointed.

  • Rochelle Odom

I, really, used to like Sarah Palin, but when she gave ” testimony ” at the Rev. Billy Graham’s 95th Birthday Celebration, and she pulled that old line: ” Oh my family was Catholic, but then we watched one of the Billy Graham Crusades, and went from Catholic to Christian ” . No, those aren’t her exact words, but that is, basically, what she said. I, personally, don’t know which is worse: Her, simply, being anti-Catholic, or, her concealment of anti-Catholic sentiment–all these years–until Pope Francis ( a leader and public figure who is, all-at-once, likeable, controversial, and divisive, even, among the most faithful of Catholics ) got elected this year, and has made a series of controversial statements. It is worth noting that when first asked what she thought about Pope Francis, ( Exactly, why she, an ” ex-Catholic ” was asked this, I don’t know! ) Gov. Palin, simply, stated, ” Oh. I think he’s a liberal, ” and had nothing more to addd. It’s too bad that she couldn’t have been, at least, as fair with him–and other Catholics like myself–as we’ve been with her!

    • Mark

      She was RIGHT!!!!

      • Caribou “PAYCUT” Barbie™

        Palin is NEVER right

      • Rochelle Odom

Mark, are you saying that she’s right, in believing and stating that Catholics are NOT Christians? Well, O.K., agree with her! This is America; you can believe what you want, and under certain circumstances, be as much of a bigot as you want to be. However, since the country is, at least, 1/4 Catholic, someone, like her, will, NEVER be President, or have ANYTHING to do with picking the President! Honestly, I have NO idea what she was thinking, in that moment!

        • wereherewereclear

Sarah was merely stating that she was catholic or her mother was and that now she is christian. So, evidently, when she was a catholic, she didn’t believe she was a christian. What’s the big deal? There are catholics who are christians and many who are not. The same goes for Baptist or any denomination. I’m sure she does not believe that all catholics are not christians.

    • Ronnyraygun666

Google Seven Mountains…she supposedly is into all of that. Personally, my belief is that Palin worships the almighty dollar. Pope Francis is onto her and her ilk.

    • alaskan1st

She has never been taught the teaching of Christ. If she had she would know that Jesus is as liberal as all get up and the Pope is supposed to be too. Most people who know nothing about Jesus would not call themselves Christian, I hope.

      • Rochelle Odom

Ah, no. I have to correct you, there. Jesus is neither ” right “, nor ” left “, but He is above politics! And, regardless of what’s being said about Pope Francis, I, still, have, some, hope that this pope is above politics, as well.

        • Andrew J. Corrales

Actually, we can’t apply modern political labels to Jesus’ teachings. However, inasmuch as He had a lot to say about the people of His day and will some day rule the world, He is probably very political. His personal, non-political values seem to have corresponded very much to modern day American Conservativism. When asked about marriage, he referred the inquirer to Genesis. In Luke 22 Jesus said to buy a weapon if you didn’t already have one. Also, when the Jews tried to make Jesus their leader for a rebellion against Roman rule they wanted, He turned the job down. Apparently He wasn’t interested in leading the ancient equivalent of a popular liberal politician.

          • alaskan1st

But he was liberal, right? By definition?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Dictionary definition, a liberal is someone who is open to new ideas. In American politics, a liberal is someone who, in theory, thinks the government should solve all our problems, and be given the power to do so. Jesus was definitely not open to new ideas. Rather, He raised the moral standard of the old ideas. The Sermon on the Mount is filled with examples of this. And He didn’t seem to go for government solutions. He talked about the local popular (not official) governing body of His day–the Sanhedrin–and its political parties–superstitious authoritarian Pharisees and hyper-rational, libertarian Sadducees–like they kept going too far. He made no comment on Roman authority except “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s.”

          • alaskan1st

I’m not talkin politics ……. This is a man who wanted to take care of the poor the downtrodden. He wanted the rich to share. He said the poor shall inherit the earth. He made it seem impossible to get into heaven if you’re rich. (Eye of the needle thing) Now if you want to talk politics, I would think what he said would be considered very liberal.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Taking care of the poor and downtrodden had been around for years–Exodus 23:6-7 and Leviticus 19:9-10, not to mention Isaiah 1:17 and Micah 6:8.

And politics? Again, we can’t apply modern American labels, but He didn’t seem to go for the big government or moral relativism that sums up the Democrats’ platform. I already mentioned He supported traditional marriage and the right to bear arms, and thought the Sanhedrin and its “political” parties sometimes went too far, at least.

          • alaskan1st

You are obviously generalizing about what the Democrats think. You shouldn’t do that. Many demos are moderates as are many repubs as you may have noticed lately.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Who are they? Where are they? Why aren’t they making themselves known?

          • alaskan1st

They? Dems or Repubs? It doesn’t matter because the “average” American is somewhere between the far right and the far left, making them more moderate. Rino’s as they are called will get elected but extreme wingnuts won’t. The same goes for the Dems.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Barack Obama got elected, with Joe Biden of all people.

          • alaskan1st

            You mean Bush Lite?

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Not precisely Bush Lite, as Bush didn’t push anything like Obamacare or gun control.

          • alaskan1st

Christians should be all over affordable care for everyone and Obama let us carry in national parks.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

Obamacare isn’t affordable care for everyone. It requires raising taxes, you get fined if you don’t have it, and more people have lost their health insurance because of it than have signed up for it. More people have signed up to go to Mars in a few years (maybe) than have done so for Obamacare. More people signed a petition to deport Piers Morgan than have for Obamacare, and the British people made a petition to block the deportation. Even Congress Democrats are trying to tear it down now. Even Obama himself has stopped calling it Obamacare.

On top of that, Jesus and St. Paul made generosity a moral obligation for individuals, not governments. I already said that Jesus talked about His day’s Congress and Democrats and Republicans like they were going too far. Paul didn’t make political commentary that I know of.

And remember the unconstitutional gun control executive orders Obama signed after the Sandy Hook shooting? And remember Obama’s gun control bill that failed? One pro-gun thing he did doesn’t make him all pro-gun.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

And by “they” I mean moderate Democrats.

          • Andrew J. Corrales

And I think I’m going to get off for the night.

        • alaskan1st

I wasn’t talking about politics. I’m just saying Jesus was a liberal man. Not “right” or “left” but liberal. The definition of one.

    • Bonet

      You are making things up.

Sarah Palin didn’t say she went “from Catholic to Christian” . You are twisting her words.

Sarah Palin also didn’t say about “Pope Francis ” Oh. I think he’s a liberal”.

Sarah Palin said she is trying to follow Pope Francis, but is wary of what she called the media’s interpretation of his message.

“He’s had some statements that to me sound kind of liberal, has taken me aback, has kind of surprised me,” said Palin. But “unless I really dig deep into what his messaging is, and do my own homework, I’m not going to just trust what I hear in the media.”

Later she clarified her statement. She wrote:

“Just to clarify my comment to Jake Tapper about Pope Francis, it was not my intention to be critical of Pope Francis. I was reminding viewers that we need to do our own homework on news subjects, and I hadn’t done mine yet on the Pope’s recent comments as reported by the media. Knowing full well how often the media mischaracterizes a person’s comments (especially a religious leader’s), I don’t trust them to get it right when it comes to reporting on the Vatican. I do, however, trust my many Catholic friends and family, including some excellent Catholic writers, who have since assured me that Pope Francis is as sincere and faithful a shepherd of his church as his two predecessors whom I admired. I apologize for not being clearer in my response, thus opening the door to critical media that does what it does best in ginning up controversy.”

      • Rochelle Odom

No. I DIDN’T make anything up! And, I wouldn’t. For the last five years, I’ve been her biggest fan. I’m, still, a great admirer of hers. The main thrust of my post is that, when she spoke at the Rev. Billy Graham’s 95th Birthday Celebration, she gave personal testimony ( which is on youtube, by-the-way ) about her family, all, becoming born-again Christians, ( which a wonderful thing, by the way; I’ve experienced that, myself ) she said this

    • Guest

There has not been one aspect of Palin’s life and career that has not been chewed over, criticized and lied about by the media.

Soon after Palin entered the national political scene as Arizona Sen. John McCain’s GOP running mate, she was attacked as a diva, a clothes hog, an irresponsible mother and a political mercenary. They dismissed what she achieved as mayor of her hometown, commissioner of the state’s oil and pipeline board and governor of America’s largest state.

Sarah Palin’s enemies decided that nothing was too personal to attack-including her marriage, her children, her faith, and her wardrobe.

The media , Hollywood and the REP establishment have done everything they can to vilify Sarah Palin and her family but despite a massive effort to destroy her, she is still standing strong.

Readers may like to visit the Samaritan’s Purse website and search for the pictures/articles relating to Gov Palin’s visit to Haiti with Rev Franklin Graham back in late 2010 … that was when the children there were in peril due to an outbreak of cholera in the aftermath of that terrible EQ

Bristol accompanied her … they did a great job of raising awareness to give a boost to the Samaritan’s Purse mission

Quite recently Gov Palin spent time with the Operation Christmas Child charity in NC, encouraging them also

There are further articles at Samaritan’s Purse also, involving Gov Palin’s work with that mission in AK when she was Governor (and prior to that also possibly)

          • exodus2012

I don’t think so – here’s a message from an acute Observor of her stunning accomplishments as Governor:

This AWESOME post was composed by disqus ID = royroyo

(prepare to be DICED and SLICED, you GOPe/RINO/Lefty TOOLs! **__**)

The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it…It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

1- Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you’re thinking, I’ll continue.

2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES”. Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork”. She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning—I imagine—that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona . Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

So people who oppose Palin complain that she doesn’t care when they don’t know what wonderful stuff she’s doing, and when they’re shown some really good things she’s done, they dismiss it as “opportunism?” I’m starting to think Palin-haters just care about hating Palin. They certainly don’t capitulate to evidence that they’re wrong. You’re the second or third (or fourth…or somethingth) on this webpage.

Thanks for this article … readers may be interested in the following info I uncovered relating to the direct impact that Big Momma Grizzly has had on the abortion issue, contained within this comment:

DEO GRATIAS for the rugged Palin family who do not cower when the Leftist Bullies unleash. There are so many things about Gov Sarah Palin that trigger their irrational hatred … in fact, you would have to say that EVERYTHING about her drives them nearly crazy with anger, hatred ……. and FEAR

It is a little known fact but Gov Palin’s appearance on the National Stage on Sep 3rd 2008, (she and her family, including her younger son Trig introduced to > 40M Americans) had a profound impact on the key cultural issue of abortion.

If you track the bimonthly Gallup Poll numbers for pro-life/pro-choice through 2008, and look what happened at the sep/oct mark, then the trend since, you will see that the pro-life numbers exceeded pro-choice in America for the FIRST time, I think since Gallup has begun polling the issue.

IMV, THIS statistic is at the root of the Leftists’ FEAR of Gov Sarah Palin and is why they respond with PDS whenever she becomes prominent in the Media. If the Palin family were to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, would American Culture continue to move in the current direction of degradation, or is there a chance there would be a cultural swing toward more traditional American values?

the change, swing from pro-choice to pro-life was huge and marked, right at the sep/oct data point, 2008

it is very hard to get that evidence back into circulation too …. I have been searching

the website page I saved back at the end of 2008, showing the bimonthly breakdown of the data, was removed – “is no longer available” (I wonder why? … not .. .)

the Ruling Class must be very fearful of this info circulating, …..

        btw
why are you so frightened of people reading what I have to say?

Americans more than any other ‘people group’ are used to the free flow of information and opinion, within their precious 1st Amendment Arena

People please ignore Shawn’s Mom above. This is the mother of that family that Palin and her family received a restraining order against. The son and father were arrested by the FBI for harassing her lawyers. You should read the report on it. They called 100’s of times a day, threatening r*pe, etc. The whole family is crazy. The son is delusional & believes that Sarah or one of her girls were sexting him in 2008 (they are from PA, and I doubt have ever met them). They made threats and harassed Sarah, her friends and even her parents. The kid showed up in AK on her birthday a couple of years ago, and was monitered by local LO. Psycho. He also has been investigated by the secret service for things involving both Bush and Obama.

    • SueZ2u

Oh, yeah if you look up the articles about him, check out a picture of him, you can tell. These people are creepy, scary. I really worry about this guy walking around in public. Hope he doesn’t fixate on somebody that can’t protect themselves. The FBI didn’t charge the mom, because she didn’t make very many phone calls. I personally think Palin should start proceedings to sue her for defamation, since she stalks the internet writing slanderous lies.

Um, fact check please. Most obvious: “pursuing the first female Vice-Presidency of the United States of America”— that would be Geraldine Ferraro, in the 1984 election.
Secondly, other than a *few* photo ops, what has SP done for DS kids? She talks about her decision (a decision she would deny others, btw), but has she given money to DS charities? [She may have given a 1k token at one point, but nothing like the millions in her coffers]. Spoken for their events without pay? Yeah, that’s the wind I hear blowing.

  • Carol Smith

Palin does very little for other people. Records show hardly any donations. Like everything else, it is all for show with no substance. Too bad that she has so many people fooled, especially the ones who gave to her PAC thinking she was going to run (3 times then backed out).

    • MaMcGriz

Palin Derangement Syndrome is a terrible thing.

It appears you have a bad case of it.

    • SueZ2u

So you now get to read her tax returns? I don’t think so.

    • friskyness

The “fooled” are the Obama losers…….you prove yourself a stupid liberal who can’t count, Palin never said she “was going to run for office and backed out”…….one time in 2011 she decided not to run, but she NEVER said she was going to run……she just made liberals pee in their pants, which you have proved with your ignorant comment…………….

      • Carol Smith

I know that she did not announce she was going to run, she said she was thinking about it – would consider it – or some sort of noncommital answer. Her supporters sent her money and at the last minute she announced that she was not going to run (three times).

  • Drudger

Ignorant person, this Sarah Falin, but cares for children–oh my let us put her on a pedestal.

  • Drudger

To Sarah Palin: Heed the bible my child

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. Timothy 2:11-12

    • Bill589

Heed the whole Bible, not isolated statements.

      • Drudger

but who does that? Not Sarah Palin, not you. It is impossible. Too many “Christians” cherry pick scripture to justify their own fears, ignorance and bigotry.

And hopefully some of you could tell that my previous post was sarcastic.

  • Sue

What has Sarah Palin done for DS kids? I’ll tell you. She has shown us all why we should simply love them. There is no amount of money that could compare to the gift of love — the love she has given, and the love she has taught others to give. Simply no greater gift than that.
