Former Alaska Governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is calling attention to abortion’s disproportionate death toll among black Americans on her Facebook page and in an editorial for LifeSiteNews.
On Sunday, Palin posted the following image, displaying a Confederate battle flag next to Planned Parenthood’s logo and asking, “Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?”
On Wednesday, she elaborated in her LSN piece, which traces the abortion giant’s roots to the eugenics movement of the early 1900s. “The core idea of eugenics was the use of birth control, abortion, and selective breeding to weed out the so-called ‘unfit’ to create a ‘cleaner’ human race,” Palin writes, noting that Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger believed in “the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks—those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.”
So “why,” she asks, “is anyone surprised that Planned Parenthood placed 80% of its abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods?” She also called out the hypocrisy of supporting abortion-on-demand while also promoting the #BlackLivesMatter slogan in protest of recent police violence controversies.
“Work now lies in building an authentic culture of acceptance and compassion that supports women in times of need,” the governor writes, before concluding on an optimistic note: “Yes, a unifying movement will rise from this; respect for all races, the strength of women, and love of life will make it beautiful.”
