Video: abortion workers threaten sidewalk counselor

Alabama abortion supporters have not been very tolerant recently.  Paul Lake, a regular sidewalk counselor outside the West Alabama Women’s Center, which commits nearly 40% of all abortions in Alabama, captured on video abortion workers verbally threatening him.  Paul recounts that he was approached and slapped.  This attack happened just days after a pro-life teen was assaulted for handing out postcards from Students for Life of America.

According to Paul:

I learned that the # 1 question women ask in abortion clinics when considering abortion is: Does it hurt? Some clinics have certain people who do certain jobs and answer certain questions women ask. When the nurse at our local abortion clinic arrived to work Tuesday [May 20] morning I asked her, “Are you the nurse that tells the women that it don’t hurt?” She didn’t answer. So I said to her that “whoever is telling them that it doesn’t hurt is lying to them.” She went into the clinic. 10 minutes later the same nurse walked up to me and this is what happened.

Following the altercation at the beginning of the video, one of the abortion workers became more and more agitated speaking to Paul, who then said, “I want to help you.”  He repeatedly offers them help throughout the video.

Another worker accused Paul of “stalking” and said, “You need to watch what you’re doing, because we know every single thing that you do.  You wipe your f****** ass, we know…we know everything about you…I just want to let you know that you need to watch your f****** ass.”  She also claims there are “legal things” she can do to protect herself from the Paul’s pro-life work.

There is no one more equipped to handle this kind of hostility than Paul, who has saved numerous babies during 40 Days for Life campaigns.  Paul has an amazing story of becoming pro-life and coming back into the Catholic Church after years of being lost, so he understands the pain and brokenness many lifestyles can cause.  Tuscaloosa sidewalk counselors also distribute literature from And Then There Were None, which helps abortion workers transition out of the industry.

As pro-life law after pro-life law passes, the abortion industry is becoming desperate.  The truth about abortion–and the abortion industry’s horrifying practices–has never been more apparent.

This video is a reminder that more pro-life victories mean more anger from the abortion industry.
