A recent Facebook photo of a smiling premature baby girl has touched hearts across the internet. After the girl’s mother shared the photo with the Facebook page Love What Matters, thousands of people chimed in with stories of premature infants. Each one is an inspiration for families currently struggling in Neonatal Intensive Care Units around the world, and a look at the age of babies whom supporters of late-term abortion are okay with aborting.

Some of the stories came from parents of children still making strides to be released from the NICU. One of those babies was born at only 24 weeks weighing just over a pound. Preborn babies are often aborted at this age for a variety of reasons – from a prenatal diagnosis to a mother deciding she doesn’t want to have a child anymore.

Other parents shared success stories of their premature infants who are growing up healthy and strong. One child, born at 25 weeks, died “several times” according to her mother, but each time doctors were able to bring her back.

Other commenters shared stories about adults who were once preemies themselves. Christina Walker shared about her husband, born two months early forty years ago. Heather Pascall shared her own story. She was born at 24 weeks and her own story inspired her to become an RN.

When politicians talk about late-term abortion, these are the people they are talking about killing. While many states only allow abortion up to 20 weeks, others allow abortion right through all nine months of pregnancy. Women in states that have laws against this are able to travel to abort their viable children for any reason.

While most people fall for the lie that late-term abortion only happens in cases of prenatal diagnosis or to save the life of the mother, even late-term abortionist George Tiller, now deceased, admitted that less than 10 percent of the late-term abortions he performed were due to fetal anomaly.

Another former abortionist, Dr. Anthony Levatino, has come forward to share that abortion is never necessary to save the life or health of a mother.

Each of these preemies shows that preborn babies – fetuses – are human beings. Each of them has their own life worthy of living. It shouldn’t be up to anyone else to end those lives for any reason.
